I enjoy my stereo every single time I drive my car, not just the 2% of the time that an LSD might be enjoyed. Granted PTV might be detectable through the steering and turn-in more than that but the standard chassis is already pretty sublime.
Thanks - the basic radio is fairly poor, so I've selected the 'sound package plus'. Should be good enough for my needs The £890 saved on PTV can go towards 1st tax and registration costs

Hi everyone. Did anyone get any discount on the Cayman GTS?
No, but I didn't really try too hard. Wanted to get the order in before I missed the next available delivery slot - already have o wait 5 months! The sales guy did say he would do something to sweeten the deal, maybe some gap insurance or similar

5 months!! A dealer mentioned 2 months to me yesterday, and that was heavily discounted. The sales guy did say he would do something to sweeten the deal, maybe some gap insurance or similar
I know Steve isn't to most driving enthusiasts taste (isn't mine), but I get the feeling he might just love this car!!!

Mine's going to be a weekend toy.

Nil discount as the dealer only had one allocated.

Well nobody is going to accuse you of speccing that for resale or the next owner, how refreshing!
I have the light design package on my new (to me) Cayman S which generally mirrors the GTS spec to a reasonable extent. It is quite a welcome upgrade, the LED downlighters from under the mirrors make me smile.

Good lord that's a pretty emphatically positive review. It's what I suspected to be honest, that's how I felt/feel about the S. Can't wait!
the thing is i did not expect a bad review but i think he over done it about the steering to shy away from the fact its electric!i am still not convinced it is going to be any better than a 20k+ cheaper CR.as for dealer allocation come xmas there will be new pre regd stock to be had as its not a limited production run i reckon some 500+ coming to the uk and the new 981.2 boxster annouced at either LA show in november as per usual or early 2015 with the cayman to follow
how can he get so excited when you could have specd a normal Cayman S to that ?
every thing he liked was a option, PCCB, Buckets, sports chassie, and then to say it has the best steering and he likes manual better.
Some of these guys need to start driving older cars and not all the new stuff, they are forgetting what a drivers car is all about.
as for 55k that car was prob 75k worth.
he needs to get back into a Cayman R he would wet his pants even more !!!
As good as the GTS is you can option up a Cayman S in that spec for less money and that cars been out over a year now.

Yeah it's a shame more bits were
not bolted on but apart from the lack of a proper Aerokit it does fit the GTS profile and the true R replacement will probably still have ceramics and buckets as options.
As nice as the GTS looks those spy shots of the run-out cayman mean heart has been stolen by another woman with bigger assets.
