Nope cargraphic is quality tried and tested in Porsche land, Supersprint is not tried and tested In Porsche circles.

I bet you don’t buy one.
As for JcR I was a early buyer as I know Jonny likes to do top notch products from cars we have both owned before.

So I have Cargraphic on one and it’s been on 7years and JCR on another.

Money where my mouth is as normal :-).

Not sure if anyone is aware that Litchfields are about to launch a rear silencer for the 718GT4, I'm told it will be £3k and will add 20bhp, they have just sold the test car so cannot confirm the sound and am waiting for the launch video to see how it compares. It looks good nice neat welding and in S/S.
May be worth a look from you guys, after all he made a pretty good job of sorting his Carrera T

Also said it was tested at Castle Coombe and would be good for track days and its valved and works off the standard button.

Will be interesting to see when the launch video comes out..

I asked the view when at Tewkesbury OPC and got the expected official response, but also they said (as I think Twinfan mentioned earlier) that it would only be an issue on claims where the exhaust could have an influence. Therefore a wheel bearing claim, no problem, an engine issue, possible rejection.

Risk confirmed as we all expected.

Does the ecu know a different exhaust has been added and is it recoreded in data logging?

I'm told as its after the filters there is no problem, its just a straight swop.

Told by who?
Imagine the situation. Buy a 6k exhaust. Drive around happily. Suddenly engine trouble and car’s taken in for inspection. Check data logging and see that engine has been running differently since exhaust fitment.
I’m wondering if it’s better to do the exhaust flap controller and be done with it?

There's no way the car/ECU will know the exhaust has been swapped. Most of the back pressure is provided by the cats and GPFs, which are sensored, but after that is just the silencer. No faults will be logged and the mapping will be running within tolerance.

How do you know this?

Twinfan is correct also confirmed by Litchfields.

Only a problem if you have a fault and the car is fitted with the swopped silencer when in the OPC for repairs

Because I've researched the standard exhaust system and have been chatting to the guys at Ninemeister who are building the replacement silencer that will be fitted to my car in the very near future.

If you're keeping the cats and GPFs there's very little difference going to be made to the fuelling by swapping out the rear silencer.

I don’t think many people care about any HP gain from changing the rear box... surely 99% of the people are doing it to benefit from a better sound?

I like that one, it’s a slightly different approach and design.

I also like that they detailed their design process...

https://www.litchfieldmotors.com/blog/porsche-718-...

Resonance tubes and x-pipe design will help to mitigate unwanted harsh frequencies and drone.

Sounds like a proper Porsche sound.

Maybe I'm just deaf, I really struggle to hear it stand out on the youtube videos.

Well, I am actually a touch deaf, too many hours of headphone use when I was younger. But still. Need to hear these things in person.
