Probably around 10% of the cars from the first batch of allocations. No better or worse than any other recent GT car I suspect.
If i was running PCGB i would make all buyers of Porsche GT products sign a cast iron document to the effect of banning them from selling their new cars for a minimum of 12 months..If anyone of them were forced to sell due to genuine unforeseen change in personal circumstance then they must sell the car back to the supplying OPC for no more than list..This would stop the greedy flippers getting GT Porsches in the first place and allow genuine enthusiasts a second chance to get one hardly used car less than 12 months old for a nominal sum over list..
It blots Porsche's reputation in pretending to want the special GT cars being sold only to people who genuinely want them for driving IMO.

Would not help in any way, OPC will flip the car, the owner buys a car and runs it for 12 months for free. 2nd hand market still overs !

I would forgo the exact model if I could run free Gt cars every 12 months do 6k and get list back.

According to their Twitter feed JZM sold the Red car with Gold wheel just before Xmas but yes they certainly aren’t flying off the shelves....I am sure OPC’s have either got a few they have “recycled” or are currently trying to without formally advertising. Either way premium’s are not big. My guess is with the general malaise in the car market which is across all makes you’ll be able to buy a GT4 for list price in Q2.

Sorry i disagree,,The way flippers work is they need to sell their GT Porsche within a couple of months for real overs to release cash to carry on buying more humdrum Porsches to help them secure the next special car..Flippers are in it for pure cash gain which self finances the whole game..Being forced to keep their GT Porsche for a minimum of 12 months will make them miss out on this cash bonanza to fund their allocation game.
Flippers aren't in it for 12 months depreciation free motoring as that isn't lucrative enough or turns money over quickly..Its a business to them solely to make money not lessen the cost of motoring..Being forced to keep a car for 12 months will also incur costs such as finance, tax and insurance which will negate whatever profit is left..
Cash is king for flippers.!

Sadly, now eight 718 GT4s on the market, all £10-25K over list depending on options and greed factor.

Now includes a private sale (Reading car by reg?) who is obviously flipping it as pissed that it came on Dunlops!
This ones nearly 991.2 GT3 money!

I think the whole flipping this is overblown. If you flip a GT car, you will struggle to get another. The dealers are wise to it and I would be surprised to see any dealer's getting involved with it anymore - mine said they would not want to take on a new GT car with a few hundred miles as it would "look bad" on them. I just don't believe people are making a living out of flipping car after car.

Anyway, back to the important stuff. People have been congratulating me on my Voodoo GT4, but it is actually Miami - I just struggled to show it's 'true' colour under the OPC's lights.

It's now been PPFd, but having seen the gritters out yesterday, I haven't been for a drive yet. It's on display at my OPC until I put my big boy pants on!

Your Miami GT4 looks fantastic, congrats on going bold you’ve got a fantastic car there.

OPC’s don’t have a problem with flipping as long as the car comes back to them and there’s an appropriate amount in the deal for them. That’s the reality. OPC’s do also deal in other OPC’s flipped cars but don’t advertise them...don’t know if it’s an unwritten rule or Porsche GB rule but that’s what I have been told by an OPC.

There is a 718 Spyder which has ‘covertly’ come back on the market with an OPC which was mentioned earlier on this thread. Still not officially advertised but they have tweeted about it. I enquired and was told they are looking for circa £17,000 over list. Who says the OPC’s aren’t fully complicit in the game.

Hi,

A quick question regarding the front bumper for those of you that have already taken delivery of a 718 GT4 or Spyder

Did your car arrive with two small indentations on the front bumper to mark the position of the front plinth? My car has these marks on the front.

Thanks

Many OPCs had a moratorium for 6 months on flipping cars following the 'bad Press (or as it turned out actually 'good Press' for Porsche) with the 981 GT4 following the 991.1 GT3 which is when the flipping issues really started.

I was in Ashbourne earlier today, saw a nice yellow GT4 coming down into town.

Didn’t get the reg number as it wasn’t showing a front plate but rear one was 69 reg.

Anyone here?
