Up until today I was aware of 2 test mules doing the rounds, I just can’t believe that they will bring 2 models out. Also I can’t see the GT4 being Turbo, too soon when all is GT owners/fans are crying out for NA. Time will tell over the next coming weeks if A Paris motorshow release will happen.?
Geneva 2019.I don't think even Porsche know 100% when the 718GT4 will be launched as they are experiencing severe difficulty in meeting the new WLTP regulations on NASP cars. This is why they are hedging their bets in having tested the car with a turbo as a back up plan, just in case these woes prove insurmountable.
I'm still fairly confident that the 718 GT4 will have a 420HP NASP 4L, albeit not as straightforward a decision as previous gens.We are slowly but inexorably being forced to accept fully electric cars, whether we like it or not..!

The most reliable information we have come across is from a 918 VIP/clubsport owner. We are to believe it will be a NA 6, 420hp for the gt4 according to him as he was shown the final car. I'm still unsure of release date. Any other engine as I understand it won't be happening.

I’m sure one or two have already seen the images of the two finished cars and I’m not taking about the test mules.
It’s only the sign off of the new particular filter which was holding Porsche back. I’m lead to believe we may see launch of this car very soon.
I’ve heard nothing from my contact about a R version being realised
The speculation is starting to get boring, been dragged out too long now. I understand the reason for the delays but I'm growing bored of discussing the subject with people throughout my day without having any hard data to talk about.
With the length of time it's been it better be the best Cayman they've ever released, without a compromised engine and soundtrack.

The closer it gets to Paris motorshow and the lack of ‘genuine news from Porsche’ the less I think we will see it unveiled at Paris. I can’t see any embargo being in place from the sources I have, so I’d say if we don’t see it next week then it’ll be possibly Geneva launch. Same happen to me with .2GT3... got all hyped up for a Paris motorshow release then a no show until Geneva

The radio silence is more indicative of an embargo and/or pending announcement imo.
Of course… I don’t think there is any evidence to support my notion and I don’t think there is any past form we can refer to. Just my opinion.
I'm pretty sure there will be no official release announced for the 718 GT4 until its passed the draconian WLTP tests.Same goes for the Spyder and Speedster.Of course… I don’t think there is any evidence to support my notion and I don’t think there is any past form we can refer to. Just my opinion.
