Mine's screen mounted also. Does let it down a little bit, but it's not a problem. Fits snugly against the pillar at the passenger side.
I didn't bother with the speed cameras - I already have a Road Angel on subscription that is wired in to the dash at the driver's side right in the corner. I do believe however that you can get the same database from Garmin with subs based updates, if you register your unit with them and create an online account.
Dunno about the music - I just use MP3 on an SD card, or my Ipod.
