Sapphire blue is included as an option in the 718 brochure.
Awesome!Didn't think of additional options outside of normal spec. Probably costly but it's the colour I want.
Will check. Thanks.
ETA: Would you have a link to the brochure? A cursory google is not returning anything ...

Is that a finance discount or a genuine £2K off the car?
i'd like to know that too if possible.anyone else manage to get a discount?
i've gone for:
Cayman S
Agate Grey
Black interior with beige 'highlights'
Deletion of model
Park assist - front and rear
Electrically folding mirrors
PDK
PASM
Carrera Sport wheels with gloss black inserts
Cruise control
Sports seats (aren't those std?)
Seat heating
Smoking package (to make console neater)
Digital radio
Still in two (or three) minds about some options though - mainly colour and wheels, and still have some time to decide.
No delivery date yet but i've been led to believe i'll be in the first batch.

I have my order in for a Cayman and my Dealer is expecting it for Sept 1.
Agate grey
full leather
sports seats
reversing camera
manual
PSE
plus a load of other bits - extras came to 10k....ouch
Did you add Sat Nav/Connect+ or even consider just Connect? The latter at least gives you CarPlay enabling Apple Maps to be rendered on the PCM screen if you have an iPhone 5 or later - although I have not seen how good the resolution is I am considering this option and a £1400 saving over the Sat Nav/Connect+ option.Agate grey
full leather
sports seats
reversing camera
manual
PSE

I forgot to mention that.yes I have spec'd the pcm plus digital radio...
and sadly no discount.......I ended up at 50k, although I have yet to decide on what wheels I want - personally I don't like any of them .
so as I sit here watching a film let me see
Grey,
full black leather
Climate
heated seats
crests
718 badge
sports seats
camera
PSE
PCM.
Cruise control.
Alli Pedals
sills
to be decided - Sports Chrono and Wheels, ....i might well look at this car play system....
but i thought 50k was a fair limit to keep to - for a car that is going to be a daily.
Has anyone listened to the Sound Package Plus:
Sound Package Plus
Sound Package Plus delivers excellent sound. It comprises six loudspeakers and a total output of 110 watts in the new 718 Boxster, and eight loudspeakers with 150 watts in the new 718 Cayman. The amplifier integrated into PCM optimally adapts the acoustic pattern in the vehicle interior to the driver and front passenger.
I believe the previous version of the entry system had 235 watts and 9 speakers so on the face of it the new system is a backward step?
I will have to get a listen myself but has anyone listened to it on the move and dismissed it in favour of the Bose....or the Beastmaster

SPP used to have an outboard amp in 981. My guess is the new head unit had better integrated amps and they rebranded to SPP to reflect this (Old integrated head unit amps were appalling). Heard the "Beastmaster" in a 911 and very good setup; didn't like bose (Sounds like a crappy soundbar)Sound Package Plus

Interesting so not all is lost for the new 150 watt SPP in the Cayman 718. Looking at the Bose it has been beefed up in output terms but whether the quality has improved? Thanks for your reply.

Have a listen before deciding, even after turning off loudness and adjsuting the EQ the Bose setup in the 981 sounded like all bass and treble with no midrange to me. Then again a lot of Bose products sound crap. SPP was balanced and strong enough, Burmester was excellent but pricey and the cabin is fairly noisy. Thanks for your reply.

Will do. Not going after audiophile quality but as long as the SPP is tuneful enough when pootling along then that will suffice for my tone-deaf ears. Cheers.both turbos, both auto's for 95% of sales and an auto works better with a turbo for less lag, so imo the M4 Comp pack cars seems a far better buy, just wondered why people choose a 4 pot Cayman. ALso no glowing 718 reviews to talk of, where the M4 comp pack looks like a bit of a weapon.
