I don’t have steering wheel controls but I think it does connect.

I've just had a AVIC-F88DAB fitted to my 987, I don't have S/W controls but apparently it works with them. Looks like a standard unit too in situ.

The Australian option is slightly cheaper but like the idea of a all in one headunit.

Right confirmed that to upgrade unit is over £4800 ouch !

Ok one more question, I have seen and some models that in the glovebox they have a USB connection linked to the CDR31 unit, mine has a mini single din,

Does anybody know if the usb is available and can be fitted, Porsche say that this is not listed as a separate item

I have just bought a 2016 MY Macan S with PCM 3.1 (without Sat Nav) and whilst on You Tube looking at reviews and information regarding the Macan S I came across this video about adding Apple Car Play. This also led me to the website and it looks like an option is available for a Cayman 981 as well.

Please note I have absolutely no connection with anyone or association with this company.

It’s a neat solution, fitting a new board to the PCM. Close to £500.
I considered it but wanted 2 USB outputs. PCM only gives one.

Looks to be the same solution as the Australian version, probably from the same supplier. The UK shop have Android as coming soon.
