5mph, no. 15mph that the OP asked about, yes. It makes a difference on my GT3.

They are severely restricted from factory with the throttle body not opening fully. Speak to copse automotive in Woking. They have done many and also run a few race cars.

981 owner here too.

I struggled with this initially, especially as when I was taught to drive (in 2003!) I was told not to shift into first gear unless the car is stationary. This works fine for everything else I've ever owned, but the cayman does need you to change into 1st whilst moving sometimes.
