Good to see that you are moving on and I don't think Ashgood has suffered from this. From what I can tell they sell some good cars at the right price and have plenty of happy customers.
Totally agree with this. They have a great setup, knowledgeable staff, cars are priced to sell and found their customer service excellent.

Hurts to lose on a car but OPC cars usually take that big longer to sell, so more time to negotiate, because they have their uplift in costs because of their higher overheads.

When buying 2nd hand performance cars, I’ve found in more cases than not that the service (during and after the sale) of specialists beats the brands.

All IMHO, of course!
+1 - Think as a dealer you can't win with this type of thing. Most people would think that saying there was strong interest in the car was sharp practice to put the buyer under pressure - to me, that's not a courtesy at all. If I wanted to buy, I would ask the seller if there was any serious interest, not whinge about losing out to somebody else on a public forum.

Any dealer will sell to the 1st person who gives a deposit. There are so many tyre kickers/Lookers about it has to be that way frown

In regards to David and Henry's latest little spat about prices, I'm very much aware of the fact that I paid top money for it. Henry knows as he is a friend of Kevin, that the car is absolutely mint and one of a kind, so yes I paid a lot for it, but I don't expect to lose a lot if I ever decide to sell it on.
My Guards red example was “tidy”, and mechanically very healthy, but your car is in a different league, I’d say it’s the crème de la crème, and worth every penny you paid for it. Put bluntly, you’d struggle to find a better example, and as we know, you’ll not find another one in that hue smile

I gate crashed a road trip last weekend with my R. It felt great to finally give it a proper blast. I ended up doing just over 1000 miles over the entire weekend. With a couple of reasonable blasts down the autobahn I still managed to average just under 30mpg too!

The roads in Germany where we were staying, and around the Nurburgring are incredible.
