GT4 RS breaks cover then...
Discussion
Relatively inexpensive and I ran them on the 981 also. Based on that, Yes, I’d say there is a bit of improved repeatability and consistency of the pedal. I’d recommend even as part of a very light stage 1 platform package for track work.
I’m not yet up to the same level of braking again with the 718… as it has PCCB and OEM pads… so quite a different feeling than what I had been used to, and I had been babying the brakes just to finish the season… but I had the lines put on again, this time as part of the kit.
Looking forward to getting the ST and RSC1 on, so at least I can bang on the brakes again with relative impunity.
Interestingly… been doing a bit of research and listening to a few driver coaching podcasts and, I think I need to have a play with revising how I do my braking, so then I can choose when and where to lean on them heavily or not…. Last of the late brakers can help in wheel to wheel, but doesn’t always yield faster laps.

very nice ! Looks like RPM ? I heard Ollie from RPM on a Podcast....he said the MR suspension is actually slightly better on road than normal suspension although this was in reference to a GT3. What's your GT4 like post upgrade ?
On a road the suspension is lots better. It’s more noticeable on b roads than on smooth tracksIt’s firmer spring rates but it has helper springs, so smaller bumps aren’t felt as much (and you won’t grind the front going up some inclines) and at any pace, you won’t get “bouncing” over undulating roads

Haha exactly… 2yr allocation sold out in 90secs according to Late Brake Show! Lol.
Really not getting the love in for this car - looks ordinary and performance is ordinary. So its steer well!?Honestly, car reviews these days are all over the place - this one was like a motoring parody off the Pythons 'Four Yorkshiremen' sketch! I was half expecting him to mention how brilliant it was was that it had pneumatic tyres and disc brakes. If I want something that celebrates the 'less is more' philosophy, then I'd do it right by buying a Lotus (and not something that would have been deemed unremarkable 15 years ago).
Thanks all, then for the cost I will get this done.
An interesting thread also on Li battery fitting.
I bought a best of 2022 Autocar this week and they have the GT4RS as one of their few excelling cars highlighted in yellow ... I guess most of their driving was on the road !
(Corrected Autocar for the third time !!)

Base car is a 2020 Clubsport that came with PCCB, yep.
MR brake upgrade is pads and lines.
I am swapping out OEM PCCB rotors for ST and pads for Pagid RSC1, but I have upgraded MR lines.
Interesting that they stick with the oem rotor and presumably the new pads are more aggressive ? Bearing in mind its track focussed I`d want ST rotors from the outset.MR brake upgrade is pads and lines.

Chris W - I bought the LB28XX liteblox battery with the Carbon fibre base plate.
The battery has been fit and forget, I only occasionally use the trickle charger (eg if I leave the car indoors for 2/3 weeks), it did once run to "turn off" (the guys wrapping my car left the radio on) and its restart worked as advertised. I've used it in all temperatures, today -1.5 deg C it started my car fine after a week's rest.
The Carbon fibre base plate is configured for a LHD car and I had to adjust it to fit my RHD 981. I did this with ease and a bit of fiddling.
My car puked on the Antigravity battery, steering lights etc.. On early 981 GT4s they are hit and miss despite working well on GT3s (as seen on Rennlist). Their service was excellent and they gave me a 100% refund and, at their price point, I would consider them for another car.
Can I tell the weight difference? Probably not but it looks good. If yours is always on a charger you can probably use an even smaller once.
