Nope its just plastic made to look carbon, and people pay for this?!?! con of the century.
It’s real carbon laid onto the plastic back plates. At least for the dash and centre console trims.

Personally I like the look of the carbon whether it is carbon or not, literally I just prefer the look of it to the other options.

The darker brushed metal is nice.

I don’t know many who purchase it because it’s carbon and lightweight. Most like myself like the look of it. As for con of the century, I think Porsche options list has a few more appropriate contenders

WOW! Looks like if this is a spec that appeals, you may be able to jump the queue. Looks like a bargain price too!

The carbon trim pieces are 1 sheet of real carbon laid over a plastic mould. It’s easier and cheaper to make, instead of using 100% carbon which has a much higher fault and failure rate in production.

Not sure why people think it’s “faux carbon” like you get in a Ford Fiesta.

It is also very well priced as an option and looks far better than almost all of the alternatives.

It is certainly not a con!

What’s going on with this car?

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

Says it’s a 4.0 Litre PDK and is priced as such. But surely it can’t be as they e not started making those yet?

If it is actually a 2.5L car, then it’s going to have to be a total plonker who pays for it over a 4.0L car!

Its a 2.5t car as the exhausts are together. The 4.0L model has an exhaust on either side.

It actually states 2.5 in the description, I think its a simple case of someone selecting the 'wrong' box, and being ambitious with the price.

Ambitious? Price seems about right to me.

The 2.5 easily worth more than a gutless, torqueless, over taxed nasp any day of the week.

Struggling to see why that car is so cheap, has leather instead of Alcantara but hardly worse off for it. Unless cancelled order so more wiggle room? Even so seems a bargain.

I can tell you its 100% real carbon laid on plastic mount, as mentioned before. I’ve bought the Tequipment aftermarket trim and fitted myself.

Hi guys - just placed my deposit for a PDK, spec below, really excited!

Need to now sort the sale of my current 981 GTS - any recommendations for a good SoR place in and around the Berkshire area?

Cheers

I need to lock down my Cayman spec on Monday for a November build / December delivery. All sorted apart from internal GTS package colour. What would be best combination with external GT Silver - Crayon or Carmine? Would Crayon be too bland with the silver. All comments welcome as the clock is ticking......

I’ll take some interior photos tomorrow ... I’ve got a GT silver with Crayon contrast ... personally think it’s great. However mine was a cancelled order and if I was ordering from scratch I’d probably go red interior to get more of a contrast

Mine is GT Silver with red roof and GTS red interior. Love it. Crayon GTS may be a little lacking in contrast with silver outside, but I could be wrong.
