Was yes. Amazing car. For me the classic pack interior was a must as it feels special.
Looks good for sure. A better road car than your RS or RS all day long?

I mean RS is sharper in every regard but on the road the spyder is probably slightly more fun with the manual box and slightly softer suspension etc ! RS king for track though !

Without reading the entire thread I presume as with previous generation not anyone can walk into a dealer and order either the Gt4 or Spyder but can with the Gts?
I have zero patience, hence I buy mine second hand, and having had 4 CGT4 examples with 2 currently in my possession, its the only way around it....

With delivery about 8 weeks away now I've started shopping around for best finance deals. What sort of GFV and quotes are people getting on their GT4s?

I usually go to Lombard for car finance who treat me well at 3.9-4.1% APR. As this is my first GT product is it worth sticking with OPC?

Thanks,
D

VWFS rates are fixed at 6.9% for PCP and 7.3% for HP.

If you can get better elsewhere, there's no reason not to.

Help...Delivery in 6-7 weeks only just gone into production can I change my wheel colour ? No change to cost option. Wonder if anyone else has had this issue.

I doubt it as In February 2016 I was at the factory when I tried to change my spec on an end of April build Spyder and was told too late everything has been ordered and scheduled for my specific car - in other words with 7 weeks to go my spec was locked down

Probably not, as build is usually locked once production has begun. No harm in asking your salesman though. Alternative is for OPC/third party to paint them once they arrive. OPC cost quoted to me was c.£800 I think

Some good news for the fortunate group of us with GT4/Spyders on order… Production appears to be a little ahead of schedule at the moment.

My Spyder was originally due to go into production next week, although I’ve just heard that it’s actually already on its way here – Status changed to in transit this morning.

On target for an early March collection - Not long now!

Anyone hearing anything on the news wire on what’s likely to be allocation levels on GT4 and Spyder for 2020 for UK? When is next allocation of cars likely to be? Thx.

Every 3 months I would say so April.

The last round was mid-November, so mid-February would be the next batch. I believe it's usually 6 weeks prior to quarter end.

I paid a £10k deposit back in a June 19 subject to dealer allocation. No news for 2020 yet so inclined to get my deposit back and invest in something not depreciating. That’s it for me with the Porsche brand. Taken for a ride despite prior Porsche buying.

My car arrived about 2 weeks ago, but can’t take delivery until they fix a potential fault on the fuel system, caused by a faulty tool on the line. 9 UK cars effected, not sure if all GT4.

Quite frustrating, but better than a fuel fire! Didn’t buy a Macca!
Just heard about this via a mate - engine out job for the fuel line fix!

At those prices and a longer production run I can see the 981 cars prices slipping.
£80-85k for a nicely specd 718gt4 / spyder why pay more than £70k for the older model
For the amazing sound track and rarity tongue out

I don’t think they have had confirmation yet, but highly likely. Plus side is a March plate, and it’s not currently the height of track day season, so I can live without it.
It's engine out for the car I know of...
