Picked up Santa’s Sleigh this morning.

20 mile drive home, sounds great, different from the videos in a better way, you hear more differentiating sounds through the music box. Short drive on typical B roads suspension firmer than my 981 but not harsh.

Will be epic when run in and the warmer weather arrives

Looks really smart! How has the front plate been attached? I don’t like stickers but don’t want to drill the front bumper for a plinth. Yours looks like a good solution.

My current spec (not locked yet) is very similar but with gold wheels and the Black windscreen surround. I suspect Red will be popular.

I’m undecided on the front axle lift, obviously it’s not on my current 718 Spyder and I’ve never felt it was needed but I believe the RS front splitter although the same height protrudes further forward, Anyone spec’’d it or have experience with the Gt4 RS ?.

I’m at PEC next week and apparently they have their Spyder RS in the new the new Grey, not there to drive it but looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

I think the front splitter on the RS Spyder does not protrude as much as the GT4.

The GT4 splitter protrudes as it works with the rear wing. With the Spyder and RS Spyder as there is no wing the aero works slightly differently.

Described well in this Evo article: https://www.evo.co.uk/porsche/718-spyder/rs

That’s looks great but if it’s the new Grey metallic I’m not sure it’s a true representation of the colour.

Its not about the splitter… the main point for lift on the 4RS and SRS is due to the additional underbody fins at the front.
One point to consider when you enable the lift it raises the front, but then back is pivoted about the rear wheel and so rear underbody fins get a little closer.

Its not essential, but rather a nice convenience.
I run all the underbody aero parts on my car as the main element is a direct replacement for the CF Manthey part.. but its cheaper and in plastic… so i don't care about occasionally catching it (MR part taken off and boxed up). I actually don’t catch them that much in my driving of the car which is to and from track, running kerbs isn't an issue and getting on chunnel or ferry is fine too.
Only sleeping policemen catch if they are quite high or approached with wrong angle or speed.

Useful info ... I also don't need lift on my 981 GT4 which is significantly lowered ... it's still on it's first set of front bib spoiler and undertrays ...
