My OCD means that I always set the two temperatures to the same value whenever I'm in a car w/ dual climate. Also £539 is taking the complete pi$$ for this, IMO.Also, no BOSE?

I fear that a posh hi-fi is going to be largely wasted in a noisy sports car.

That would be my preference too. Going to investigate what is possible after market.
I've gone de-badged on the back a) because I think it gets lost on night blue but also b) in the hope of being able to find something like you've both mentioned. Let us know if you find anything!James McScotty said:

The standard system is not climate but basic aircon. You need to spec the dual option to get climate/temparature control. The important part of the option is 'climate' not 'dual'.Twinfan said:

Yes, I have the basic aircon in my 981, no climate control. I can't really say I miss CC, having had it on previous cars. Most of the time, the aircon is switched off, and I only tend to use it if the windows steam up, or if it's too hot.CardiffTam said:
You have done well to keep the total cost under £70K. How about the heated multi function steering wheel?
Is it the same diameter as the "plain" wheel? Also, is it available in leather?I'm very keen to avoid doing it out like a limo, also trying to eliminate any alcantara from the interior.

Although my T came with climate and Bose if I were speccing myself would not bother. Heated wheel is something I would spec though. I fear that a posh hi-fi is going to be largely wasted in a noisy sports car.

James, I think your spec is superb. I was very tempted by the Python Green but in the end I went for Carrara White. It will look sensational in the green.Have I selected the correct options, plastic dash aside?
Like you, I deleted the Alcantara interior, which I dislike intensely. Here is my spec.

Seeing your "fabric roof' option has made me realise I made a mistake in not doing so. I thought removing items in Race Tex would get rid of it but I fear I will have some. Too late now.
I ordered at the end of August, and heard today the car has been made a month early and will arrive at the dealership tomorrow! So I will get next week. I gather they have wanted to push through UK destination cars to be sure they would arrive ahead of the 31 Dec uncertainty, but also surely a sign of capacity. Whatever the reason, I am just elated to be getting this incredible car so soon.

Thanks Richard, your car not only looks great, but it also actually exists, which is a big plus. Alcantara is the work of the devil, it always looks like several moles have been wrestling across its surface, and on steering wheels it goes disgustingly manky, for want of a better description.Like you, I deleted the Alcantara interior, which I dislike intensely. I've backslid a bit and added Lane Change Assist, never tried it, but it looks useful, and (completely frivolous) yellow seatbelts to go with my (totally poncy) aluminium pedals. Still a whisker under £69k. I can dream.

I've gone with just "718" at the back - I wanted something but "718 Boxster GTS" feels too long.
I agree that 718 Boxster GTS is too long, but I didn't like the idea of 718 either, because the 4-cyl 718 heritage is not in my view applicable to a 6-cyl car.Maybe just "GTS", and let the Porsche anoraks work out what it is from the pipes?
