I understood the first time I was just making the point cheaper isn’t always the way to go.. however you are right, why pay London rates...

PLIN3DK4. My first attempt but I’m sure there will be several alterations....... sorry don’t know how to upload the actual link.

Will go for the manual hope a PDK option will be confirmed soon?
You'll be stuck with manual I think. Your build date will be end April, so way too early for PDK.

Spec looks nice for a GTS+ - comfort seats, ceramics etc. Not sure about the carbon - why not the standard silver trim to match the exterior and seat backs?

GTS+? Agree with the silver trim, apparently there isn’t any official word on PDK though it is expected. OPC will move my build date/allocation if it is announced

No buckets or Clubsport, so less GT and more GTS. I think that's how TDT(?) described his experience in a non-bucket car.

You will be spec-lock soon, so no chance of PDK IMHO.

No prob’s

Just my personal preferences of course but I think I’d be tempted to either leave the wheels platinum or go black on a GT Silver car (but then I like a wheel vs.body contrast) + add:

"PORSCHE" logo in satin black
Automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor
BOSE® surround sound-system
Sun visors in Alcantara®

Seat choice is very much a personal preference depending on your size, shape and how you intend to use the car (I’ve gone full buckets).

Edit:

+ I would fund the above additions by removing the following as I don't think they add much to the overall interior experience:

Dashboard trim package in leather (Leather dash is included with your interior choice if that's what you were thinking this option is)
Personalised floor mats with leather edging

The cabin is pretty noisy so think carefully about BOSE and whether it would be worth it to you would be my comment.

I agree on the black wheels and badges etc, but it does make the car a lot more racy looking which might not be your thing.

I have tracked both my motorcycles and previous cars but I won’t be taking the GT4 on track, my car my choice. I can understand why people may question that but that’s the reality for me. Therefore I don’t need the Clubsport and at my age I need the seats I have chosen. The PCCB is pure vanity on my part, I love the look of them and fully appreciate I don’t need them, my money my choice. OPC have assured me they will move my slot if required once an official announcement is made re PDK.

Indeed - it's your choice entirely and I'm sure you'll enjoy the car smile

The OPC can't move your order if your car has already spec locked though can it?

Does your wife know how noisy a GT4 cabin is?

I always go for features and looks that are unique or work best on that model, so if you don't want Clubsport/buckets/loud colour and want BOSE and 2-way Sports Seats I think I'd be looking at a GTS 4.0 not a GT4.

But it's your car and your choice of course!

Thanks all I appreciate your input, its my first serious attempt and I acknowledge I will need to revisit my spec a number of times. There is no right or wrong spec, imo it’s down to personal choice.

911 JOE you are right the matts will go in their current form. The interior leather is the look I want but I’ll sort that out at OPC.

Twinfan don’t disagree but the hope is the official announcement will come prior to that point. If not the manual will do nicely 👍

The latest info I've heard is that is was planned for builds starting after the summer break i.e. the first week of September but it's been pushed back. Even if came in as planned it's past your current build date.

Enjoy the manual wink

With my last GT4 I went with the standard 2 way seats. It sold ok but with hindsight the 18 way seats are far better if you don’t want buckets. Every time you open the door you just think wish I had upgraded the seats

Car will have a lot of cabin noise so no real point in BOSE

You're almost certainly aware, but just to be on the extra safe side I thought I'd mention that with your leather interior choice....

"Black leather interior with extensive items in Alcantara® and decorative stitching in contrasting colour: yellow"
You get...
Smooth-finish leather in Black: dashboard upper section including airbag cover, airbag module, instrument shroud, door panel upper sections, centre console side sections, seat bases, seat bolsters and headrests, and side stripes of centreconsole main storage compartment lid. All leather items in smooth-finish leather. Black Alcantara: dashboard lower section including glove compartment cover, steering wheel rim, gear lever, seat centres, door pulls, door centre panels, door panel armrests and centre of centre console main storage compartment lid. Model logo embroidered on headrests.

....and all that "Dashboard trim package in leather" at £753 will add to that in leather is the dashboard end trims (which you can't see when inside the car, only when standing outside the car with the doors open) and the small defroster strip at the very bottom of the windscreen + the very small speaker section directly behind the Chrono clock (neither of which you can really see that well from the driver's seat anyway).

What makes you think it’s an April build date? He’s not locked his spec yet...

Same situation for me, my slot is for 06-2020, dealer told me the MT - PDK swap for that time slot is stil to be expected.

I must say; the dealer told me last October the 6F GTS will be announced by Porsche 2nd-3th week of January 2020, they were spot on.

So I'm still confident a 06-2020 PDK 718 GT4 should be possible

Expectations on PDK announcement are 04-2020 by Porsche

FWIW ;-)
