If you’re doing the NC500 west side maybe worth tyre and wheel cover. wink
After a good 16-17 trips up there over 11 years I’ve been lucky so far. But yes. We’ve had a few “issues” up there with people thinking they can cut the corners a bit. Gets very “Top Gear” up there though. We usually just abandon them their to wait for the tow truck lol

Thanks, and good choice on the silver wheels. I've gone black and regret my decision already ?????
Thanks. I’m pleased how it turned out. To be honest I v nearly went black and think the black wheels do look excellent on a GT4. Now mines is at 300 miles at 1 week old. Car is great but have an annoying rattle/buzzing/vibration sound. Not the usual suspects…. Like exhaust valve, nor seat belt, rear partition nor caps for oil water. Maybe cage. Hopefully will settle in over a few more hundred miles. First world issues!
It's not something I suspect most would admit but my Wife said she preferred black wheels but that I'd never go for them as apparently I never listen to her. I took that as a pass to spend silly money on a car as long as I ordered it with the black wheels 😂.

I'm so jealous, the wait is killing me now. Hopefully the rattle resolves itself and you get some nice days to enjoy it. 👍

Just curious what time of year you were heading up there, I sometimes go later April/early May and seems a good time.

Early May this year. Always a bit of a dance dodging Uk and Scottish school holidays, midges, and snow.

Normally do an October trip as well. Always a pint with the weather, but generally very quiet.

Bit late April/early May does tent to be a decent time smile

Absolutely fantastic, buddy.
Congrats!
You managed to bag yellow stitch too smile

I need to get my belts & CS extinguisher fitted (I currently have the smaller one fitted in front of the passenger seat) - is this something that an OPC will do FOC?

Philj it was the first pic optional fire extinguisher. But mine is a cs that explains why I have a spare extinguisher. I opted for cs and optional extinguisher on the configurator oops

This a brave choice , and you've got to love it for you to spend 112k on it . Think has it’s only got 450mile on they didn’t like the colour when it was delivered?

Not just Frozen Berry, but also seemingly covered from top to bottom in 'Satin' PFF, and a carbon-effect wrapped rear spoiler...

a discussion over on the PCGB forums where some cars fitted with PPF even those done at the OPC as part of the invoiced sale the owners insurance will not cover them as PPF is classed as a Modification by some of the top insurance companies ,one person had an accident and was refused a payout as car was not previously declared as a mod . would advise asking your insurer the position before getting in done ,seems some insurers not interested as long as you declare at time and will still cover you .

You'd need to speak to your OPC as it's free at the time of PDI otherwise I think it may be chargeable. It's a seats out job, so a couple of hours at least, and therefore £££...

Someone had a claim denied due to the application PPF?
Wtf? I very very much doubt that.

It's an undeclared mod, they have every right to declare the policy null and void I think!

Thanks for that! Didn’t know there was a set of mats available that were pre-cut/shaped for the fire hydrant! I’ll be asking for a price and availability on those!
Around £240 before any discount I'm told from OPC

I live in Thurso and the state of the roads is terrible just now and worst i can ever remember, my spyder is only used when it's light as new potholes seem to appear daily and this happened to my golf R this week...

I had the buzzing vibration sound you described, I managed to locate it fairly quickly, was the plastic cover that clips on to the cage behind the headrest, just moving it stopped the vibration, think it must be some sort of safety precaution !

Hope this works for you !!
