GT4 RS breaks cover then...
Discussion
I drove the car with some friends to OPC Gelderland (The Netherlands) a mix between B roads and some Autobahn.
Well, I`m just without words, this car is so sharp, so direct, in every aspect you could think of, is it good, is it better? No; it's really the best.
My previous 718GT4 PDK feels just sluggish compared to the RS.
Th car (to me) never felt harsh, or uncomposed. No, road compliance is on expert level. It also has many different sound levels, just dependent on gas input. Doing 130km/h at 3,5k rpm, it just floats your boat, just as easy, pleasant noice/sound, not tiring at all.
Its is a fabulous piece of machinery.

Pretty much concurs with my thoughts on the 4RS. It truly is a masterpiece even by Porsche GT Dept's lofty standards.Well, I`m just without words, this car is so sharp, so direct, in every aspect you could think of, is it good, is it better? No; it's really the best.

so when you think they can't do it better, just worse and heavier, they make an even better car, the GT4 RS ![driving](/inc/images/driving.gif)
hm, GT4 RS or a Donkervoort F22 with those high premiums on a GT4 RS you could maybe also buy such Donkervoort F22
same-ish 500hp but just 750kg oooh, choices choices, have to sell my house if I want one of those 2 though, hm... and I guess second hand in a few years they still are pretty near to what they were new by price.

One slight issue, that car is possibly the ugliest thing I've seen in a long while, the GT4RS is quite a looker in comparison ![driving](/inc/images/driving.gif)

I have too much pride to be seen driving that on public roads![driving](/inc/images/driving.gif)

Don’t think anybody has confirmed any performance/functional difference.
After all the 4RS Clubsport has the plastic non-WP part.
![](https://thumbsnap.com/sc/xi5mzKMs.jpg)
On the launch videos AP did allude to sound difference if you have the windows down because of the extra ear cover?
Not shallow at all, just preference. WP on 4RS is a visual package, right?, so it only has to go that deep.

Call me shallow but the rear intake ducts look much better on the WP. Is there a functional difference?
Generally too much black plastic on non-WP.
There were four GT4 RS' on track at Oulton last Saturday including only one non WP car. Compared to the WP cars the black plastic intake you mention looked very different from both an aesthetics and design POV. It looked like it would have an effect on airflow based on what I could make out but perhaps not.Generally too much black plastic on non-WP.
Really enjoyed a long twisty B road drive today. On my own, no other cars, just for the hell of it.
The engine, gearbox, induction noise, 9000rpm![cloud9](/inc/images/cloud9.gif)
Maybe on the firm side for the most bumpy or rutted roads - a few times the car struggled for traction or retardation under hard braking. But that wasn’t a surprise, you need to think when driving this car. At the same time, a GT3 would have been all over the place IMO.

Mine's a Black WP one, however after seeing your Racing Yellow I think it's the best for the 4RS out of the standard colours. I also agree it's something so special even by Porsche standards. The engine, gearbox, induction noise, 9000rpm

It's got a lot of the traditional old school Porsche charm sadly missing in the new Gen 992s.
It is also quite compact especially when compared to the 992RS which has grown to be quite a big and heavy GT Porsche. All IMHO of course

Very cool. I saw your coffee shop shot on IG whilst taking a break. The engine, gearbox, induction noise, 9000rpm

Glad you’re sinking your teeth into it.
Have you had any wheel alignment/geometry applied yet? Or still on out of the box?

A friend has a black 2RS and that looks evil, likewise I expect a black 4RS will too. As you say, no matter what the colour it is just a great car to drive. It's got a lot of the traditional old school Porsche charm sadly missing in the new Gen 992s.

Anyone with a 4RS able to tell me the location distances of the door side-script decal? I've bought the door decal set to go on my GT4 (I'll be leaving off the RS bit, don't worry!), but there wasn't a fitting template with them. These are the two distances I'm after...

TIA![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Horizontal distance is 28mm and vertical is 33mm.![](https://i.postimg.cc/63nNHfqj/script.jpg)
