As soon as this one is announced, we can start the "Next GT4 might be arriving sooner than you think!" thread
No, the next thread should be "the GT4RS might be arriving sooner than you think"

1st Batch is always a bit limited.
With second fulfilling most orders if you are of the correct rank and order.
You’ll just have to wait.
But the Spyder could be the hot seller out of the gate depending on how close to the GT4 is actually is.… will have a broader appeal, with the ability to take the roof down. Will make it nicer as road toy.

IF the 718 Spyder turns out to be basically a 718GT4 with a drop top then it'll be brilliant on track IMO..The current 981 Spyder is an amazing well rounded fun road car but a bit too soft and under tired to mix with the more focused track specials..It'll be the new Spyder i'd prefer out of the two however i have a sneaking suspicion that both cars will be awesome straight out of the box. With second fulfilling most orders if you are of the correct rank and order.

I've also heard that both cars will be lighter than the 981 versions although i'm extremely sceptical on this to be honest. The interesting question is where will they pitch both cars in pricing..
The 981 GT4 is a great car, but I Think the new car has the potential to improve on a few weak points and be brilliant. Namely:
- More powerful engine, but more importantly additional drama and sparkle at the top of the Rev range
- improved interior
- front axle lift and reversing camera
- decent stereo upgrade option
The rest of the car doesn’t need fixing as a package.

I've come from not liking rear wings on road cars to really wanting that wing on the 718 GT4.
Makes my 981 GT4 look a bit apologetic.

8450 redline, 420 ps, multiple years production. I just hope that the Spyder will get the same chassis as the GT4 this time around.
I very much doubt it'll rev to 8450rpm..If it does then i think it'll have the 3.8 rather than the 4L and use revs to get power rather than cubic capacity.I'm telling you guys that both the new GT4 and Spyder are going to blow you away with their sheer brilliance..Porsche are really on top of their game right now, coupled with the extraordinary length of time(especially Ring time) they've taken to develop them can only mean perfection IMO.

The 8450rpm is from Rennlist, someone using the track Precision App I think. It seems to be incorrect and bears no relation to the actual upcoming GT4.
Yep...I saw that... but didn’t think anyone would blindly repeat it here, completely out of context....which is why I asked the q.New version of the app has cool graphics but seems to be incomplete and a bit flaky at the moment. Will testt it more today and then @ Donington on Tuesday.
