Got a prompt on the dash for the brakes, what are the options?

- Send it to Porsche for standard R option discs & pads
- Go indie for the same, just purchase the bits myself online
- Indie & some upgrades - not tracked so feels a touch overkill but happy if there are better options for the same cash etc

Had a bit of a read about these paired with Pagid RS29 pads - the fluid was only just changed as part of the major service so I'm reluctant to bother with changing that as well.

Any Black Friday deals anyone aware of on a full set of the above?

Currently perusing the Euro Car Parts site, but it's rendering the site like it's 1998 on my work machine

If you're not tracking it, I'd go with Sebro discs and Textar pads from Carparts4less (Euro Car Parts sister company). Currently £226 delivered for a pair of front discs and pads, compared with £297 for the same stuff from Euro (both after applying today's discount codes).

Yep, reckon that's my old one - not seen another with the peridot seat inserts and it also still has the Zunsport grilles fitted. The most recent owner must have added the Numeric quick shifter though as that wasn't on it when it was with me.

I miss it a lot but our daughter is coming up for six months now and the fun of that more than makes up for it!

Very good, they don't have rear discs on that site - was hoping for a full set. They have the front discs & both sets of pads.

The Porsche parts catalogue shows the Cayman R and S rear steel discs are the same part number. CP4L do have the 987.2 S rear Sebro discs.

Mine is now on a SORN for the winter (as of Saturday) and hooked up to the C-Tek. Would it do any harm by only charging it for 1 full 24 hour session per week via use of a smart socket and a scheduled on/off rather than running it 24x7x5 months ?

Won’t do it any harm but if it’s on a Ctek, any reason not to leave it on all the time?

Just leave it on, it's what they're designed for. Mine stays except for the occasional run.

I saw Greta arriving by sailing boat on the telly (with the worlds media arriving by air to see her arrive) and she has inspired me to save the planet one small step at a time!! silly

OR, it might be that I bought a shed load of smart sockets on Black Friday and now realise I need to find a use for them!!!
