Had the car for 4 days now and I'm really loving it. It really is a special occassion every time I take it for a drive.
Love the sound, the mechanical gruff of the engine and the torque. I'm keeping the revs to 4k for the first 200 miles, then I'll gradually incease the revs.
I've never driven a car like it, probably the closest one was the CSL and that was brilliant.

The brakes feel very sharp and the Dunlop Sport Maxx feel very confidence inspiring. I've driven them in damp conditions and they feel fine.
The handling feels a bit twitchy through some fast bends, but I like it.

I'm really having to keep restraint from not revving to high up the rev range as I want to bed the engine in gradually. I know there's an immense engine ready to scream smile

Hmm. I included the photo of the stripes as I didn't recall seeing them earlier (although I was looking at shinier bits than radiators at that point in the day).

I'll update further when I hear from the garage on Monday - it wasn't a little steam that was coming out it was a full metric stload...
Let us know - sorry to hear this.

Will do and apologies for the (unintended) thread hijack!
No worries. It's a community and if anyone can help in some way with advice etc, then great!

The car is confirmed to be okay...and back home. It would have been avoided if the dealer advised of this "characteristic," as I, my wife and Porsche Assist all merrily shat ourselves at the symptoms displayed.

Anyway, it's here and I can't wait until I have time to actually use it. Early signs are that it might be quite good:

(and yes, I do need to paint my garage walls - life has got in the way of getting around to it)
Well then huraa! What model is that 911, 964?

Why are you so worried about your plate being seen?

If you were that bothered you would have a forgetful 69/70 plate on the car.

They even blanked it in the video, just curious.
Maybe I’m paranoid but prefer to keep it blank.

OK I did wonder if he was a friend. I quite like watching his vids.
Tell him to come to Scotland and he can do some videos on some amazing roads . In fact maybe a run in a 981 GT4 v a 718GT 4 on the same road would be good video
Good idea. Something for post covid.
