Most ridiculous options
Discussion
My local OPC has a demo yellow 718 Cayman with yellow interior package, yellow instrument dials, yellow seat belts and yellow ignition key. They don't get any choice in spec, and the salesman apologised "Sorry if you feel like a bit of a 'jockey' driving it with yellow seat belts". Really, really wouldn't be for me, but once I was underway I completely forgot about the yellow seat belts and enjoyed the drive.
I think in order of most ridiculous it goes:
Yelllow seat belts
Yellow ignition key
Yellow interior package
Yellow instrument dials
But then having said that, I've spec'd my one with the carbon interior package at £854, and I'm guessing many would see that as almost as ridiculous. One man's meat is another's poison...

There are some amazing 918's in the psychedlic livery of the 1970's race cars.....and then very near the bottom there's the worst interior I've seen on any Porsche! Put your sun glasses on....

Wow - that Boxster interior is something to behold. It must be like driving around in a bucket of mouthwash.
I'm all for people being able to do whatever they like with their cars, but some people do need protecting from themselves! One thing that tends to take them over the edge (the "mouthwash" being a notable exception where every single element in isolation takes it beyond the realms of taste) on some of them for me is the colouring of the air vents. That smacks of a kid getting carried away with their recent discovery of Plasti-dip.
