This Grip-Clip is for the 981 GTS ..... perhaps the 718 GTS Grilles have a different Grip-Clip .
Perhaps Captandy or Justslip could clarify .
If some OPCs object to the Zunsport Grilles and we have to remove the grilles before any Warranty claim then it's essential that removal is easy and will not damage our paintwork as well as not leaving any telltale marks or unremovable Grip-Clips etc.
Perhaps Zunsport will address this issue before releasing the 718 GTS Grilles for general sale .

So my grilles turned up today, fitted them but I really don’t like the look of the front end with them in place and think I’d rather take my chances with a stones hitting the radiator than ruin the aesthetics.
So how do I get these “grip clips” off? Tried phoning Zunsport but they close at 3pm.

Usually when the grip clip is on, it's not really intended to come off otherwise the grille would just fall into the aperture. However if you're not fully satisfied with the grilles, it's best to use a thin screwdriver and leverage the grip clip for it to come off without scratching the vehicle. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I stopped fiddling as I didn’t want to scratch up the paint more than I already had! Dropped the car off at my Detailer’s so he’ll take those clips off and respray the front sport design kit, there were a couple of stone chips there so would’ve had it done at some point I guess. Pretty gutted that I didn’t look at those clips properly and realise how permanent they are! Hoping I can return the grills without too much fuss
Hi, Updating this thread as just received and fitted the GTS type grills to our 718 S with the GTS type bumpers. This is my wife's daily use car and not some weekend toy, in and out of Cardiff and along the M4 each day.
The manufacturers design of this grill is really nothing short of negligent. It's covered just short of 7k miles since new and the amount of debris and rubbish in all 3 radiator ports was appalling. There was already stone damage to the matrix of all 3 cores and I'm sure any holes will be 'wear and tear, Sir...'.
The grills are easy to fit, will come come out without too much effort in case the OPC gets precious and look as good as any official Porsche designed grill that may eventually surface if enough people complain. Overall very impressed by them and would highly recommend.
If I come across as annoyed - too right I am. Every car I've had from Lada Niva to m240i has some degree of protection of core vitals but nope, I'm expected to buy something that should be a standard fitting.

So are these okay with regards to Porsche Warranty? Thinking of getting some for my 981 CGTS, I’m guessing you need to notify your insurer of the modification too?
Have these on my 981 GTS, no issue with warranty. GTS has been in for warranty work with them on and no issues.Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
