Has anyone modified their GT4 / Spyder exhaust setup yet?

Here is another one which sounds promising - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlcK_Rnja94

Sounds pretty good..They also make exhausts for the Porsche 991.2GT3 RS OPF...
Its a German family owned company who specializes in Motorsport components which should mean top quality..How come i haven't heard of them.?

That thread has gone beyond busy and completely diluted... it's like a full GT4 / Spyder forum wrapped into one thread :-)

This thread is purely referring to exhaust options, and should not be added to that ever increasing holistic topic... lets keep them separate ;-)

I'm going to give these guys a shout today. Titanium, UK based and a fair bit cheaper than JCR.

Interesting - very similar, if not identical, design to JCR. How much cheaper are they?

JCR have announced their OPF delete pipes today.... these pipes completely replace the over the axle pipes that include the OPF filter, with titanium straight through pipes... currently in test in a number of regions to cover the various configurations of the car as shipped to meet regs, and also apparently without requiring any kind of remap.
Looks like they could be used on their own with the OEM back box, and of course in conjunction with the JCR titanium back box replacement pipes.

Cheers, that's a decent saving over JCR.

I’m gonna go for the IWS system for more reasons than just the £1600 price difference!! Anthony from GAD who are the exclusive sales agents really knows his stuff, recommend dropping him a line, seems very honest and frank which is always handy when pretty much buying blind...

Sounds good mate!

Love the look and thought of the new Spyder. Out of interest do you prefer it to the 981 Spyder?

Dunno, don’t pop in this forum much. Have I missed something biggrin

The Spyder (comfort - no buckets) is one of the very few modern Porsche’s I could happily own. Love em

Lol indeed - Bit harsh I always try to be very balanced in my posts smile

981 Spyder - great car, very happily own one again - only issue I ever had was clutch weight as a daily - fine for a weekend toy. Good value compared to a 718.

781 - chassis and engine - a massive step up from the 981: a proper baby GT now.

OEM noise , a massive step back - however, with a JCR titanium silenced race pipe - this is more than fixed; I actually prefer the sound to the 981 as it’s more “real” - however, this mod pushes the value gap between the cars even further.

Bottom line, if you can, I’d highly recommended a 718 Spyder with a JCR - if not, the 981 will do very nicely.

Another clip of a GTSM 718 Spyder with JCR on the move smile
