It has grown a new stalk, just need to wait for the garage to open to get it enabled. With some longer trips in the planning that will necessitate some driving through average speed camera zones, I decided I'd give the car cruise control.
Paul, I have been interested in this since getting mine, do you possibly have part numbers and costs/aggro associated ?I paid a couple of hundred quid for a used set of stalks (all 3 and the thing they attach to). I only needed the cruise one and the couple of screws that attach it, plus a wee bit of wiring that connects the stalk to a block that is present. I dare say if you're patient you may get one cheaper but I have seen plenty for more than I paid too so breakers seem to know the value of the stalks. Porsche want silly money for them these days. I couldn't find a cheap lower steering column cowell with space for the cruise stalk so bought a very cheap standard one and took a dremel to it to cut the shape. It's not perfect but I also doubt anyone would notice, though it will be swapped for a proper one sooner or later. So far I've had one OPC quote to acticate it - 1 hours labour.
Parts needed are the stalk, the couple of screws that hold it in place, the short wiring loom to connect it and the new lower cowell (or a modded one).
Installing is easy enough. I did it without removing the wheel, however this means you can't put in one of the screws that holds the stalk. However it is solid without it and actually using the other stalks I got when I bought the cruise one I tested how much of a difference removing one of the screws makes and the answer was basically sod all. I'm sure some will disapprove of my laziness but I can deal with that.
Hoping to get mine activated soon!

Well today is my birthday and I'm starting to think that a nice well celebration may be a hoon in the R.... and I'm not overly bothered if it upsets wee Nicola. She'd ban any form of fun given half a chance anyway!
Oh and here's another pic cause why not
Nice sunset and great shot of the car, here is a sunrise on Mont Ventoux from last year,Oh and here's another pic cause why not

For me my 981 Spyder is a keeper. 25k miles and several Euro Tours, track days etc....The R has just arrived, after a brief foray with a 718 GT4.
The R is more posh go cart, the Spyder more crazy, mad thing that‘s also a great to tourer. IMO.
