Be careful with Aurum - it's quite orange in real life...
Agree - not nice IMHO - get standard and re spray Lamborghini Bronze (satin not gloss) look amazing in real life - I can’t get over how nice they are on a black car : Also re losing the lines on black Spyder's - IMHO black looks absolutely epic on the 718 Spyder and they are much faster and make you look taller, slimmer and younger

Does the GT4 come with floor mats as standard?
If so can someone take a pic for me please?
If not, what do people recommend?
They’re standard and the same as any other Porsche. Plain black with porsche lettering. If so can someone take a pic for me please?

Excellent, thank you... One less thing to worry about http://assets.suredone.com/2091/media-photos/16185...
I had a great time at PEC Silverstone yesterday learning how a 718 Spyder "behaves at the limit"
Weather was horrible but that made finding the limit a LOT easier
These Cup2's aren't as bad in the cold and wet as many believe.
I managed to salom my way up the "ice hill" with them and all ESC completely off

I'll bet you never try something similar on the road in your own car I managed to salom my way up the "ice hill" with them and all ESC completely off ]
They do stick when you get them hot, it's getting them hot and keeping them that way on the road that's the problem.

Though it was a bit of a shock when the Spyder they provided looked identical to mine!
It was sopping wet all day and the masses of water they use on the "ice" hill and kick plate cooled the Cups right down pretty quick
Biggest surprise was how quick the thing rotates when it looses grip. Worse than any Honda S2000 or Lotus Exige I've owned!
It's also not that cold at the moment. Try it in January with air temperatures around freezing.
I drove my 981 GT4 all year round on Cup 2s. You can do it, but it is sometimes a fairly unpleasant experience on road.
I tracked it once in December when it was about 4 degrees C and damp. Hard work and not quick!

Hopefully I’m not soiling the bath water. I’ll be buying these for my forthcoming Spyder. https://www.weathertech.com/porsche/2020/718-boxst... I had a set in my 987 Spyder and they worked wonderfully. https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/42263530
Ouch! That's gone in a bad way.. with just over 300 miles I don't think it was being "Ran in" the correct way

Not at all, it is good to get all opinions...When I went to the site it stated "Laser Measured FloorLiners are not available for your 2020 Porsche® 718 Boxster, however AVM All-Vehicle Mats are available for purchase."

Still impressive for a semi slick track tyre
I've many miles on MPS4S on high powered RWD cars so I may go for a set of them when the Cup2's die.
This weeks Autocar magazine has a comparison test, written by Andrew Frankel, between a 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 Cayman GT4. Interestingly he believes that the plans for the Cayman replacement to be electric only have been shelved by Porsche, and the 4.0 engine will appear in the next generation Cayman whenever that arrives.

You must update us when you have the new Spyder on a comparison with the 987 Spyder. I am considering the same change, but am wondering whether I'd regret it.
Will do. Originally I got the message when I first looked into it. Then I saw a Rennlist posting where someone had put them in their new GT4. They worked very well here in sunny Seattle WA.

Interesting..... can't help but feel Electric is going to be the next dieselgate.Doc70 said:
Anyone tried Michelin PS4S in 305 in the rear instead of the Cup2s in 295?
As I am not tracking my car, I am tempted to swap my tires for more street, cold and wet friendly.
PS4Ss are now N-rated in the standard 245 and 295 sizes. I'm running them at the moment, and have been for a couple of weeks. They're night and day versus the Cup2s in wet weather. I was out on Thursday in biblical rain and the car was faultless. On Cup2s in the summer, in less torrential conditions, it was like driving on sheet ice. PS4Ss are a fabulous choice for all weather use.As I am not tracking my car, I am tempted to swap my tires for more street, cold and wet friendly.
I've just picked up a spare set of wheels to fit my Cup2s to and I'll be swapping them over myself for next Spring/Summer and probably the odd track day here and there.
