Put my order in. Given that I’ll have to sell my beautiful 3.2 Carrera to fund it I may change my mind during the long wait. Had a Cayman R back in 2011 which I hold very fond memories of and several 911s in between, latterly a Carrera T which I should not have sold. I hope 4 litres of large-lunged motor in a relatively small car will capture the magic of both.
My code in case anyone is remotely interested: PNX4VMNO. Much mental wrestling has got me this spec, but I am pretty sure it is right for me, including not having the smoker’s pack or storage net! May still be persuaded to go for the Race-Tex sun visors…

My view: Get the smoking pack as it cleans up the console. It can still hold the garage remote opener. The net looks average, but you can't see it from the drivers' seat, so useful for carrying a water bottle but it doesn't offend the eyes.My code in case anyone is remotely interested: PNX4VMNO. Have got Race-Tex visors. They're right in your line of vision so would go for it. Would also spec steering wheel surround in leather as that's under your nose. Wish I had.
I get the idea of the smoker’s pack, but in fact I find the hole breaks up the rather slab like central console, plus it looks a bit more stripped out somehow.
Hadn’t thought of the water bottle storage - good shout, and will take your advice on the Race-Tex sunvisors. Re the steering wheel column in leather I specifically looked at this in the showroom and wasn’t offended by the plastic. This from someone who had leather on the column in my Carrera T.

Ah, I get you. Let me know if you want any pics of what the net, sunvisors etc look like IRL (vs configurator) when making up your mind. It doesn’t mention running in in the manual
Yes it does. I have the manual in front of me nowIt's on page 12, under "Same Driving Pleasure, More Safety". It's not in the index
For 3,00km or 1865 miles
Take longer trips, avoid frequent cold starts
Avoid exceeding 4,000 rpm
Drive at low speeds when engine cold

Sadly, demo cars at PEC don’t get this courtesy. Then they are sold in ‘as new condition’.In a new vehicle, the moving parts first have to be run in with each other. - Do not participate in motor racing events, sports driving schools, or similar.
- Avoid high speeds of over 4,000 revolutions per minute. Drive at low speeds when the engine is cold.
Mine has just ticked over 2700 miles today (collected in November) and its been an absolute joy.
I was quite cautious with the run in period, I wasn't religious about staying below 4000rpm but I took it easy until 1850 miles. It was painful but it also meant it felt like a whole new level of enjoyment opened up once I got there. The first time I took it to redline (in second gear obviously!) was an experience I won't forget.
This recent warm weather has also been a revelation, as thus far a lot of my driving has been on cold and dark B roads. These last few weeks have been lovely to have the windows down and enjoy some more exhaust noise and interaction, as well as having a bit more confidence in the traction on warmer roads. Hopefully we'll have a long summer.
My only regret is not getting PPF on the front end as I've already picked up a few stone chips, and as its a daily it's only going to get worse over time. But its done now and I only ever see them if I really go looking for them, so I've made my peace with it and will worry about it when its time to sell. Given the cost of PPF it can't be all that far from having the bumper resprayed when the time comes, at least thats what I tell myself.
I'm looking forward to some road trips in the near future, and also starting to think about the exhaust valve controller to give a bit more consistent exhaust noise but with the option to switch back to stock when needed.
I hope everyone is enjoying theirs as much as me, and that those waiting get theirs soon!

It's great to hear your experience thus far: it has further whetted my appetite for my Boxster which was ordered last August but for which I still don't have an allocation. It sounds like it will be worth the wait.I was quite cautious with the run in period, I wasn't religious about staying below 4000rpm but I took it easy until 1850 miles. I'm loving mine. Also been pretty cautious, but yesterday on a late run home from the train station, on a quoet stretch I gave in and released the noise...All the way in 2nd. I told myself once can't hurt! Wowsers! Was unforgettable indeed!I was quite cautious with the run in period, I wasn't religious about staying below 4000rpm but I took it easy until 1850 miles. My experience mirrors yours, although mine is a little older. I’m on 10 months now and covered around 3,500 miles. But every single one of those has been just perfect. I also chewed over getting PPF on the front but it’s not a daily at present as it’s mostly parked during the week. Once I get back to commuting daily though I think I’ll add it as I’ve also got a few stone chips.
Anyways here’s a picture taken a few weeks ago during a mountain run.

Had mine for 20 months and have clocked up 5,500 miles. Its an absolute belter of a car. Took the first 1850 miles easy and I think it's paid dividends. I really can't see me parting with the car anytime in the near future. The only PPF I have had applied is on the sills and up around the side air vents. After just a couple of hundred miles I had a couple of minor chips in that area which seemed to stand out on the Gentian blue which prompted me to get the PPF.

If that's Rhodium, the Porsche approved body shop I used for my front end refresh can match it and spray single panels with no blending in of adjacent ones. Not sure about GT Silver. https://www.colourkit.co.uk/
