Just picked up our Cayman 4.0 GTS PDK after a very long wait. We were very lucky as the guy ahead of us in the queue who had an allocation cancelled his order.
Excellent taste, here's ours on pick-up day three weeks ago.

Reading in the GT4 forum that this year is likely the last for production for them. Some are being told their order has been cancelled. GTS range seems to be continuing into 2023. As a November 2021 order, I'm starting to think I may have missed the boat.

Who knows. There seems to be lack of clarity as to whether somebody with a April/May build slot will get a car.

Well I was told by my OPC just 3 weeks ago that my (18-25 March 2022) build had been delayed due to the factory shut down mid March, with no visibility of when it will get built. So I braced myself for a several month wait!

However I got the (unexpected) news today that my BGTS 4.0 has already been built, and is at Emden waiting to be shipped to the UK!!!
I even checked the VIN they gave me on the MyPorsche app, and whilst I couldn't 'register' it on my account (as I don't have proof of ownership), it showed the VIN as being legit.

So it seems like cars are being built, but that the build/delivery dates on the system are very hit & miss (well even more than usual) smile

GT4 boys were talking about cars being finished ad hoc at the moment depending on what parts come in which has played havoc with predicting when cars are ready.

If that's Rhodium, the Porsche approved body shop I used for my front end refresh can match it and spray single panels with no blending in of adjacent ones. Not sure about GT Silver.

It's GT Silver but many thanks anyway, I will bear these guys in mind when the time comes.

Visited the dealer for the 1st time today and have been told likely November ‘22 delivery, so exactly 1 year from order for Boxster GTS. Expressed surprise and am still doubtful as this is 6 months earlier than suggested when ordered, but was told there’s a stock market launch/listing coming up and Porsche want as many cars delivered as possible this year. They were talking about locking in spec pre price rises!

That does seem quick. I was in dealer the other week and they were advising 18-24mth wait. Doesn’t bother me as happy to wait until 2024 to collect.

All quiet in this thread re delayed orders. I have a build date end of April but will I actually get the car? Seems very little information out there. Am I wrong to worry, is it just the GT 4 that looks like some orders will be cancelled?

I had an original build (it a GTS 4.0) date schduled 18th March, that slipped before being postoned with the factory issues. As of this morning, it is still on the system with a July date - but nothing confirmed or fixed.

As Kev over on the GT4 thread has suggested, cars are being built ad hoc when parts are available (as Im sure you know). OPC suggested this is across the range, so not just GT4's. Thinking is, the GTS will last longer than the GT4 and therefore build dates go on into 2023 for the GTS.... but that is merely the "impression" I get reading other comments on here.

We have just had the invite to the Porsche Driving Experience. Is this an indication that we will get allocated a build slot in the next few months (even if the actual build date is not until next year)?

We only put a deposit down this year and whilst our order says delivery this year, in reality I was not expecting to see the car until mid/late 2023. So seems odd that we would get the PDE perhaps a year before finalising specification.

From what I have read on this thread, current order/allocation/build/delivery timings all seem to be a lottery. But if there is reason to be more optimistic about when the car might arrive, would be good to know.
