Yep I would be so gutted! How’s the GT4 going?
Really well, Tony. Getting front and sills ppf on Monday. Valve controller is probably the best value sound improvement available.

Great to hear it Manny, car looks amazing! Glad you are pleased with the valve controller, you are definitely getting the mods done. Let me know how the PPF goes. Decided I am going to try to get an allocation for a GT4 or Spyder next year once Brexit tariff situation is resolved.

Don't know how accurate this guy is but reckons the PDK has shorter ratios than the manualidea

I definitely will, really want one and work has got busy since announcement has been made about vaccines. Life is too short.

The PDK gear ratios must be shorter unless the 7th gear is an overdrive cruising gear.

Has anyone else noticed that just about every configurator has Miami Blue as an option still on the 718 GT4/Spyder.....
But the UK one doesn't seems odd.

I've just ordered mine. Really debating PDK vs manual.

The PDK in the 981 GTS had shorter gearing than the manual despite the Porsche literature claiming the same FD and ratios.

First Spyder I have seen in Python and I like it! That looks like Cardiff OPC.

Not wanting to get into the manual v pdk debate.

I note on the OPC, every 718 GT4 for sale is a manual, don't see any PDK, is there a reason for this as in my mind PDK would offer a more track-focused car. Makes you think PDK would hold a premium price.
Interestingly, the PDK car was slower in a recent SportAuto track test. Hockenheim GP 1:54.6 PDK vs 1:53.9 for manual. Different driver, not sure on tyres.

That lap (and that of the M2 and Lotus) was wk. Looking forward to seeing a non group test with the regular driver in.

Yeah, I think the car is capable of 1:52's.

GT3 manual has longer gears than the PDK like I thought and is quite substantial to the speed in each gear. Guy in manual vid is not redlining either.

Gosh if those details are correct then a PDK car will feel very different to a manual on the road.

The 'manuel' guy should read the manual and needs to learn to flatshift to improve his times.
