as it is i'm going for the grey too, but am still in time to change and i wonder if Agate grey is gonna be a bit too popular? then again there aren't that many colours that appeal to me other than the white but that's in a similar situation to the grey. i have been seriously considering Miami Blue but i'm pretty sure i'd get tired of it once the novelty wears off.
i've gone for the Carrera Sports wheels (same as in the photos above) but in gloss black. was considering the Carrera S but again, they've been so popular with the 981 and i just fancied something different. not a fan of the Turbo wheels on the Cayman but those RS Spyder wheels on that blue 911 in the pics seem great but aren't available on the Cayman.
will make a final decision on the wheels once they call me in to see them in person.
You'd get bored of Miami Blue... But Agate Grey is ok. Satisfying, a good colour. Jason Steel doesn't sound like an Agate Grey man... Jason Steel would have colour in his life... Go for it man.
You too Sparkyhd...
"Wish I had the balls to get it in that blue but I'll probably play safe with Agate Grey."
JFDI, walk tall. You've decided the F4 is for you and defended your corner... Why back down at Grey. Get the blue.

i agree with both of you but this is my first go at this and i don't want to cock it up. plus i'll be occasionally using the car for work - i've lost really good work before because i didn't make the right first impression. the Cayman will definitely fix that but in addition to me probably getting bored and regretting it, i'm worried a lairy colour may put potential clients off. and when i come to sell won't a grey car sell easier than a bright blue one? and at the end of the day that Agate grey does look good...
i've amended the photos that neilf posted (hope that's ok??) and made 2 changes. added a blackish finish to the Carrera Sport wheels (this is the finish i've ordered) and in the second i've tried to simulate Agate grey. the real thing would definitely look quite different as it's metallic for starters and the tone is probably wrong, but it's better than nothing.

The colour range seems to be either rather striking/in your face colours or very muted ones with little in between. I'd have difficulty in choosing one.
exactly. that's why i'm struggling.ORD said:
It is an appalling waste to get a special car and make it dull.
so what colours have you guys got then?If you're going Agate then the orange interior looks amazing with it.

You need to preface that with 'In my view . . .' or even better replace it with 'If I was picking a colour it would be . . . It is a matter of personal taste. Some see dull and boring, where others see restrained class and elegance, some see attention seeking exhibitionism where others see excitement and an energy which matches the car.
It's the same with decals, body kits, wings, PDK/manual, PCP/Lease/Loan - personal preference, free will, steer your own ship, etc.
ETA - I really like Porsche Racing Green.

One honestly believes his RCZ is the best hairdressers car
Efa.Without wishing to appear stereotypical, of course....
last one from me for today. some of the mock ups are pretty bad, particularly the 'silver' but there are so few images of other colours online so these will have to do.
of the bright (stock) colours i think Miami Blue is the only one i'd consider. but i agree it does have exhibitionist written all over it. still a cool colour though and does make a refreshing change. i think if i was lucky enough to have a garage with a number of cars it would be a no brainer. as a first proper sports car with no real experience of what i like, i'm not so sure.

Mine is previously enjoyed so went for the best car I could find with the spec I wanted but if I was buying new I'd have gone with something a bit more vibrant. My TTS was solar orange. I quite fancied Racing Yellow for my Cayman but I get that some folk would be twitchy about carrying the brighter colours.
