So they pulled the lock down forward so this wasn’t my final spec.
It was meant to lock on the 29th of August but actually locked at the beginning of July. Spec is the same apart from its jet green metallic and silver wheels, which will also look great. The only thing I was going to change was manual to pdk, but I don’t mind getting the manual either way
I am not familiar with Jet Green but do have a hankering for Forrest Green. Looks great on a 911 but not sure if it would work on the Boxster. It was meant to lock on the 29th of August but actually locked at the beginning of July. I cannot decide between manual or PDK, both have there own merits. Please post some photos once you take delivery. Good luck and enjoy, I am sure it will look great!
Had the sheer joy of picking up my new GTS today from the dealer. Even though I had a 718S it was sheer pleasure to whip the cover off it. Had up specc'd the interior over the S and it is soooo much better. Primarily the extra leather, colour stitching etc. Off for PPF and drive for 1st time late next week. So so fortunate....

Pictures of it didn’t happenLocked in my spec last Thursday. Ordered in November which is now scheduled to leave the factory on 13th September. Hardest part was deciding on which gearbox as I love both. Currently have a 981 CGTS PDK which I have owned for 4 years and part of my justification for changing to the 4.0 was going back to a manual, (previous Porsche was a 997S manual). I drove a manual 4.0 at Silverstone for my experience which was great but I also had a brief go in a PDK 4.0 whilst there, which felt noticeably quicker and more responsive, but was still planning to go manual for the new car. However I then went on this years road trip to the South of France/Maritime Alps with a group of friends in my 981 and not once did I wish my car was manual. The PDK was again epic on the tight twisty mountain roads using the paddles especially as I am the lead/pace car for the group. So PDK it is again for the new one... I am also going for the same colour again.... so I have found it quite hard to justify spending twice the value of my current car on a new one that is pretty much identical, just with a bit more power but I have always wanted to buy a brand new Porsche so I feel it is now or never. http://www.porsche-code.com/PPBWAF26 *Warning it is yellow which does scream to some people 'mid-life crisis', but after having a race yellow 981 GTS in my garage for the past 4 years which looks epic, to me any other colour would just look wrong

Looks good, it's a fun game playing with the configurator!
Nothing wrong with chosing the same colour either. You know you like it, easy. My cars for the last 10 years have been silver, I like the way it shows off a car's curves and doesn't permanently look filthy. So GTS order is silver.
PDK, yep. Particularly with the older style selector rather than the newer 911 type. Easy to slot it across to M and use it as a clutchless sequential if touching a gear stick is integral to your driving pleasure etc etc.
Not long to wait either. The biggest question will be do you sell your current one now,its summer, or wait so they can shake hands?

Will be advertising mine for sale next week, now that my spec is locked in, although I am really enjoying using it today. Anyone in the market for a 981 CGTS PDK in Race Yellow ? Hi all. Long time reader of this very useful forum during my (still ongoing) wait for a Cayman GTS. I ordered my car in September last year and received an allocation in Feb for a build in May. That build has been delayed a few times now and I was told earlier this week that the build was going to slip again, with delivery now estimated for some time around mid September/early October taking into account the factory shut down. The dealer has been very good on the updates and emails me regularly without any prompting or chasing from me. I received an email this morning from Porsche UK advising that the car has been built - the my Porsche app shows photos of the built car and reflects status of stage 4 (had been at stage 3 since April). It also includes a VIN number. I checked in with the dealer however, who says his system still shows the car in production and unfinished. Has anyone had a similar experience? Seems a bit weird.

I like this a lot. A yellow Porsche is on my bucket list. Yours will be lovely.
I’ve gone for manual. Got PDK in a 911 now which will stay so manual made sense for this one. Enjoy it - pics in due course please!

Great spec. Yellow, somehow, has crept past white a my first choice colour.Edited by krispe on Friday 29th July 12:49
Quick Q for those of you who’ve received/finalised build of your cars.
Did you manage to negotiate on the difference in list price from when you ordered to when you took delivery.
I paid a deposit last July and the list price has gone up nearly 3.5k and I plan on raising this with my OPC, so any advice would be appreciated.

I ordered April 21, car delivered in December 21 I didn’t pay the increase on base price. But I can’t remember how much it was. I recall on another forum that paying the increase depends on your OPC and or if your spec is locked by the factory. Probably best you check this with the OPC your dealing with.
