Had my roof cleaned and sealed by my local detailer, obviously he gave the rest of the car a clean too which is also appreciated.

Washed and polished mine Wednesday night. Thursday morning it looked like you could grow spuds on it, the rain was full of dust….!

Sadly I don’t have a garage
Dang. Beyond frustrating.

Very tidy. Is that Guards Red or Carmine? (I’m finding that Carmine red photographs quite ‘brightly’, making it appear more like Guards Red.)

It’s Guards Red, not a fan of Carmine looks dull in comparison.

Thank you.

I think carmine’s relative dullness is a ‘feature’. It certainly doesn’t pop in the same way Guards Red does.

I like guards red but have always found that older GR cars tend to fade badly, especially in the sun.

Maybe a probably from the past.

Yours looks stunning. Would love to have mine properly cleaned up and photographed well.

It’s a very expensive feature on a new car biggrin

OK - so, finally, some 'new' car photos.

981 GTS in Carmine Red with satin black wheels. Standard interior and exterior, ie. no GTS packs.

Here's the underside, for those who like these things. 50,000 miles; eight years old. Needs the nearside PSE valve dealing with - natch.

And a final garage image, after the first wash and number plate update. (Personalised registration to taste!)

Loving the car - and the weather this week has been ideal for some roof-down motoring. smile

Thank you. The usual surface corrosion but yes, otherwise all seems to be in order.

Yes manual and bought from Portsmouth OPC March 2022, rather not discuss price paid as not sure it has any relevance.

That’s fair enough enjoy the car it’s a corker.

I’ve been looking at the 718 GTS and wondering if it’s worth the extra over the older model .

Thank you, I love it.

I actually went to buy a 2018 2.5 GTS, didn’t get on with it. Salesman offered me test drive off a 4.0 GTS, loved it and left holding deposit on new car order. Ukraine kicked off and I thought I’m not sure how long I’m waiting for that, test drove my 981 and thought this is 80% of the new car and here we are 18 months later.

Other than the lack of CarPlay (which I know is an easy retrofit) it’s everything I could want from a weekend use convertible sports car.
