I take it you mean future build cars? Presumably your has Bose on it if you specced it?
Apparently, some cars with Bose (maybe mine) shipped with some parts missing and cannot be delivered until some parts arrive.Anymore news?

Luckily mine doesn’t have Bose
My Z4MR didn't even have the "BMW Professional" setup so no sub and some cubby holes where the 6x9's would have been...I vowed to check the stereo options ever since! Using the stereo in that car was beyond painful.
Big music fan so I could just about justify the BOSE (assuming it doesn't enter the realms of deleted options...).

Just spent a couple of days at Dijon circuit with a rented 718 Cayman GT4 manual on Cup 2s... also had a go in a GT4RS for a few laps. Both were great, but the net result is I am now looking for a 718 GT4 PDK to use as a track car...
GT4RS was amazing with the extra 1000rpm and 100PS as you would expect. Chassis wise it felt much the same as GT4 / GTS

I had a couple of BMWs recently, a M135i and a M140i. One had the standard stereo the other Harmon Kardon. I couldn’t really tell the difference to be honest.I vowed to check the stereo options ever since! Using the stereo in that car was beyond painful.

The 991.2s I had came with Bose and sounded absolutely fantastic, so on that basis I ticked the box on the CGTS, but I’ve read both good and bad reviews, so I assume it’s slightly different spec to what you get in the 911.
Still clinging on to the 18th as that is when mine allegedly leaves the factory. Hope it doesn’t get stuck at the dealers waiting for Bose parts. I’ve read on some other forums that it’s the amp that often needs to be fitted as they come separately and need to be fitted in the UK.

At what point did you hit stage 4 on the My Porsche app? I'm still waiting.....The 991.2s I had came with Bose and sounded absolutely fantastic, so on that basis I ticked the box on the CGTS, but I’ve read both good and bad reviews, so I assume it’s slightly different spec to what you get in the 911.

A friend has a Cayman with Bose and he says it was a waste of money because the car i too noisy!
According to him the Cayman reverberates the exhaust note more than the Boxster does.
It's tyre noise that you hear when you are just cruising along like with all Porsche's. Also a Boxster is definitely not quieter than a Cayman, it's the other way around.According to him the Cayman reverberates the exhaust note more than the Boxster does.

It’s still showing as stage 3 on the Porsche site……
I wouldn’t put much faith into what it says. Has your OPC given you an update?
He just said that its on schedule so unaffected by the Bose issue.I wouldn’t put much faith into what it says. Has your OPC given you an update?
It would have been a good opportunity to say its been delayed or not gone into manufacturing yet so I have to hope for end of the month delivery.
If you are expecting to pick it up the end of this month it would have already left the factory. They tend to be sitting at the docks for 2-3 weeks before being put on a boat to come over. Mine is leaving the factory on the 26th of oct (hopefully) and won’t be ready for collection until december

I've just been told it's entered the factory compound, phew! Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
