once your in, nothing compares...
had mine a few months now and was unsure of the buckets at first due to the fixed position but i absolutely love them, especially now as they are beginning to take my shape and are even more comfy.and then of course the additional drama when you open the door and see them is great too.
chuffed to bits with them. in fact i'm chuffed to bits with the whole car - so pleased i cancelled my 718 order and got one of these instead

I've been quoted a residual of £22K in 4 years time on a 2016 GTS, I nearly fell off my chair. Does anyone know how they calculate it? I know it's a crystal ball, but it seems ridiculously low!
This is a calculation by the finance company to protect themselves if they have to foreclose the loan and sell the asset to recoup the money they lent you. The amount is distorted and is much lower than the market values to protect themselves from any downside. The bid/offer is also a lot wider for high(er) end cars due to the time it takes to shift them compared to run of the mill hatchbacks etc. In reality, it actually costs you less in interest payments if the figure is lower as you pay interest on a lower principal sum over the life of the loan - though your monthly repayments will be higher as you have to repay more principal each month.
I wouldn't worry too much about it but if you want to increase the amount, the finance company can also do that depending on circumstances.
Nice photos being posted up! Keep up the good work guys....I've not driven my CGTS in absolutely ages!

Well said, I agree with your description of the bucket seats.and then of course the additional drama when you open the door and see them is great too.

My BGTS was similar to Geoff's but with 18 way seats instead of buckets, no rear view cam but x73 suspension, just sold to a Porsche dealership awaiting Macan Turbo.
I think the price of Boxster/Cayman GTS versions will continue to hold the price and even increase over time.
Sounds nice, do you have any pictures of it?I think the price of Boxster/Cayman GTS versions will continue to hold the price and even increase over time.

i disagree. I think they are in a GT car, but for a road car other options can be more suitable.
By the way, buckets were taken off the options list during 2015 as they were a priority for GT4s/Spyders etc so if anyone is looking for a late car with buckets you won't find one...
I agree with you, what is more, I hate getting in and out of the bucket seats, but once your in, nothing compares...By the way, buckets were taken off the options list during 2015 as they were a priority for GT4s/Spyders etc so if anyone is looking for a late car with buckets you won't find one...
If I had the money/the option, I'd spec buckets every time on future Porsches, sooooo comfy, you don't have to faff around adjusting them, they just fit, and the lateral support is a revelation. My BGTS that I said farewell to last week had them, and my new 997 GTS doesn't. It has the 18-way-or-whatever jobbies which are good, but I'd swap them for buckets in a heartbeat, there's no comparison for making a car feel more special and look ace.
For those with PASM not X73, I do find that the angle you view the car can sometimes make it look 'on stilts'. This is mine as I drove past a friend (who grabbed the pic) on Sunday. From this angle the car looks like a roller skate.
I will say this though - I wouldn't want it any lower without an system for the front. I wince every time I have to get over a speed bump. Very rarely catches, tho. The front is a lot lower than it looks in pictures.
Note - I know I'm on the wrong side of the road - lots of cars parked on the left...note the green Capri!

Lots of fantastic pictures! Is that Agate (above)? ^^^^^
But not many manual GTS' for sale
Yep. Agate, manual, PTV, PASM, GTS packs, etc. I lucked out on spec as far as I am concerned. Civilised enough to be used regularly as (crazy i know) a car on the public roads and their ruts and also a few button presses away from being all the drivers car I can manage, that's for sure! But not many manual GTS' for sale

135 manuals were made, so 1 in 4 compared to PDK versions. I've noticed not many manuals pop up on the OPC list, only a handful at any one time.PhantomPH said:

I totally agree. I have a similar spec PTV/PASM/GTS interior/Sport Seats Plus and the all important "Spanish" gearbox...Twinfan - what colour?
Only thing I wish my car had was the climate control rather than the standard aircon. Standard aircon seems to have a mind of its own. Cold one minute, then roaring hot the next...with no changes of the settings! Trick is to just leave the fan on low and use the heated seats to take the edge off when the weather is a little nippy. 1st world grumble, really. Hardly a problem.

Not for my tastes, I think it looks too aftermarket like someone has added lowering springs. It just doesn't look right, unlike say a GT4 with the extra aero.
True, this is the reason why I buy many different examples of one particular model, simply to make comparisons...Mario149 said:
Buckets are fine if you have a BGTS, I just popped the roof open (if not already) when getting in and out so I can lower myself in without catching the seats edges and wearing them.

I like them both with PASM and X73, I can never make my mind up to which is better, but I do prefer the X73 slightlyI will say this though - I wouldn't want it any lower without an system for the front.
