Boxster Spyder

OK. I have succumb to getting a run-a-round. I have always said & proud to say I have driven all my Porsche's all year round. But with all the rain we have seen in June & muddy country roads I can see the Spyder getting really sted up in winter & as it's likely to be a keeper I'll probably get a run-a-round. Thinking of a Mini Cooper S

Mine run-a-round is an Abarth 595 Competizone.

Can I recommend your second car has the wipers tune on the same - It's flip = Down and On = Up in the Spyder but the reverse in the Abarth and far more irritating than you would think.

Mines a Mini JCW Works gets from A to B but no drama like the Spyder! Speaking of which needs to go back to the dealer for some warranty work as has idling issues/ cuts out on start up argh.

Suzuki Swift Sport much cheaper, much better value and just as much (more?) fun - though not as fast. Certainly worth a test drive.

Love the colour but totally agree re the interior - should have gone with the painted trim.

nope that cars quite a basic spec if you take away the £2.8k PTS and thus looks very over priced when you look at this car

£79k has full leather, exclusive bits and PCCB's a far nicer buy and far nicer looks with the yellow on white

or you could just push it back in , we used to tweek gaps all the time on new cars when I worked in a main dealer bodyshop, you would cringe if you saw what we had to do before customers collected new cars.

Had a couple of Mini Cooper S's. The earlier one was fabulous just like the old mini with lots of torque steer, you had to be alert going over bumps. The second had sorted the torque steer and gone a bit soft not as much fun. Now have a Golf R which is about the same price as the Mini Cooper S with some options. Golf R is much quicker and has a better standard spec. It is a great run around. My son has surprised a few Audi / BMW drivers in it. I would recommend it as a run around.
