Sorry, probably a stupid question, but are those the standard colour for those wheels on the GTS? The brochure I have (at work) I am sure said the standard was silver, and I've seen a few pictures of GTS' with what looks to me much more like anthracite (as above).

I know you could get gloss or satin black as options, but otherwise I just thought it was "silver". (ps. really like the anthracite - if I end up buying a car with black i'll get them redone in anthracite (hopefully as part of the deal!!)).

Satin Platinum was an option. Thats what those are.

Yep, standard wheels were Carrera Ss in silver. The pic above has the same wheels in Satin Platinum smile

It's been a while since I've given the GTS a good scrub and detail but ive spent most of the weekend cleaning. I am quiet happy with the results.

I'm still not sure if I am going to trade to up a 991.2 GTS at the moment, even though I've still not driven one. However, one thing I can say about this car at high RPM she properly sings, the sound its very intoxicating. biggrin
Lovely Andy, what's the colour ? PDK ?

Now less than £55k. I'm sure this was c.£60k (if not slightly over) originally, and then has fallen slightly below £60k first, then £57k last week, and now £55k.

Marmite colour? Spec not good enough? I wish someone would just buy it, otherwise I will keep looking.

Yep, it's dropped in price as have all GTSs. As I expected they're falling in between CR and (lowering) GT4 prices, being close to the former. Around £55k is about right spec dependent.

That car has a few things that may be influencing its lack of sale:

1. Colour is marmite and more GT4 than GTS. All personal preference though so there will be a buyer out there.
2. Yellow dials are LOUD. Too loud for me.
3. It's a slightly odd spec. It has PCM and Bose but no aircon, no seat heating, no cruise control, no DAB(?), no GTS interior package.

1 and 2 wouldn't bother me. In fact, I like it!

3, good point though. Hadn't really delved into spec. I assume you mean it has aircon but no climate? (if so, how can you tell?). No DAB is also strange in this day and age. But maybe if you don't listen to the radio, and get your aural pleasure from the engine/exhaust then you don't need it!

Suspect it's the colour. When I was looking for an S the only car that stood out like a sore thumb on (low) price was a yellow one. It was a manual and low spec like this one - so it may be a combination of factors. Only manual available when I just looked, but accepting that manuals are less popular still surprising that there have been no takers at that price - it's young and low mileage.

Slightly tempted to switch my 987 Spyder into one of these?

i think originally they might have tried it on at the higher price as it's a manual and so supposedly more rare and more of a "driver's car".

looking at the spec though there's very little that wasn't standard, and nothing at all that complements the "driver's car" sentiment.

still a fantastic car though.

Gearbox aside, I think that this looks like a better buy if you like yellow

PCCB and Buckets arguably make this more of a 'drivers' car, despite being PDK.

Buckets are overrated on non-GT cars IMHO, especially the sit-you-higher-in-the-cabin non-lowering folding GT2-type which are the only ones you can get wink

And PCCBs seem awfully expensive to replace compared to the cost of the car if damage occurs...

I looked at this car when it was up for over 60k

Looks stunning in the flesh and as always with there's guys in tip top condition .

I did ask the question of replacement costs of the ceramics and was told 1k a corner which is clearly wrong .

It's a catch 22 as if you want to use the car on track the standard brakes I don't feel are up to the job but then ceramics for track use are far from ideal .

Lovely car though

Agreed. GTS is not a track car IMHO. Specced for road use it's ace, leave the track to the GT4 smile
