I'm not saying it's magnitudes of difference, just heavier. enough for the difference to be felt.
My clutch isn't worn. The 997 RS/GT3 is just a more physical car than the Gt4.This makes it less suitable for daily commute is all.
Other than being low, the Gt4 is comfortable and deals with uneven roads very well. Something that can't be said for older GT cars.

Missed buying a hard copy but have found the article online... The love for the GT4 remains ever strong. Also a little reference in the article to the next one being NA.. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/anything-goes/h...

Enjoyable review. Not sure what he means by the 'refreshingly slow' gearing though...!https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/anything-goes/h...
The sweet spot, As he was talking all Caymans and not really the GT4, the Cayman R yet again wins and hits more of Autocars remit, esp as a drivers car needs the best steering and the R has any eps car licked, is also smaller and lighter.
People will catch on soon, it just takes 10 years, its def a future slow burner.

Forgive me, but are you actually a brand ambassador for the Cayman R? I can't think of any other reason why somebody would bang on about them SO much otherwise? I don't care how good they might or might not be to drive, they look ste compared to the the GT4. Call me shallow, but that's enough of a reason for me to not give give a flying sausage how good (in your view) they to are. lol I have stated a lot of people are shallow and not interested how cars really drive.I thought the Auto car review was interesting and the R hit most of what they were looking for In a drivers car.
I bang on about them because people seem to want drivers cars but buy other tat to be seen in rather than drive.
your quote says it all "I don't care how good they might be to drive" it's a shame that you don't care how a car drives !
I think the point is taken.
Every model will have a niche in which it excels. It so happens that MrD is all about the particular road zone which the CR inhabits, which is also affected by the speeds you can legally drive plus other traffic and weather considerations.
TBH, I don't find it off. It isn't a GT car and is very well rounded for a factory stock vehicle. As we all know, a GT car truly comes alive on track and certain roads where speeds are high and traffic infrequent. In that environment, it is a much better car than the CR.
take it in context, why do you actually think the GT86 is rated at all?

Cars dipping under £80k before haggling now at OPC. Or have they been here a while?
