Cars dipping under £80k before haggling now at OPC. Or have they been here a while?

Lots for sale so prices will soften - however this version has comfort seats and no leather and this will negatively affect its value - the Navy one below has leather but again comfort seats - no doubt though, there is plenty of supply which will soften prices generally http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

your quote says it all "I don't care how good they might be to drive" it's a shame that you don't care how a car drives !
I care very much how a car drives, but if it doesn't have any kerb appeal then I'm not buying. That CR thing that you tirelessly bang on about is of no interest to me. It looks ste and that's it, I'm out. The GT4 on the other hand is probably one of the most road suited GT cars ever produced and looks waaaaaaaay better that that CR. edo said:

It has 1 option, cruise control. It was a £65000 car new. £80k and you're seriously in pocket!http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...
It's also been for sale for a while.
The more expensive cars seems to selling quicker with a better spec. Quite a few languishing at the 80k mark unsold.
As far as I can see, still lots of movement in the GT4 market and rightly so, great cars at what are now more affordable prices.
12 981 Spyders for sale - most Ive ever seen on the locator...

a low spec car so mark up probably similar to high spec cars. The low spec will be low in numbers which is why you wont see many.
Dark blue was an option i seriously considered as it is beautiful, but my cars are almost always dirty (daily them all) which doesn't work for dark cars.
Any ideas what the new price would of been for this car approximately?Dark blue was an option i seriously considered as it is beautiful, but my cars are almost always dirty (daily them all) which doesn't work for dark cars.
My 1st GT4 was dark blue. Then I bought my GT Silver one and px'd it in.Gotta say the dark blue car was way better looking even though I got the spec of my GT Silver car spot on with the buckets/ceramics etc. Can't beat dark blue though (also had my 918 in that colour) Also they stopped making dark blue as a colour for the GT4 about halfway through the build so (I think) it's pretty rare too....

Interesting I've recently been contacted by 2 OPCs who bid more for the 981 Spyder than the GT4. Both highish spec, buckets leather red stitching etc, red and white, similar lowish miles. That must be half the UK production!

I wonder if the GT4 would have happened without the CR ??
I completely agree with Mr D that the CR is a very sweet car --- and with only around 100 of each manual / PDK ? --- a car that is akin to the '89 3.2 Clubsport ... ?
By comparison the GT4 is a bit of a bruiser ... but it really comes into it's own on the track --- a car that is akin to the '92 964RS ??
A shame then that they delivered 600 into the UK ... but who ever bought a new car hoping that it would go up in value ?
A shame also therefore that if P manufacture a GT4 RS, I may well not get one because so many of the classic Porkers that I've owned have not involved my local OPC beyond the list of parts that I've needed to tidy them up !!
So should I hope for a collapse of the overblown new market, stripping the investors out of the market so that realistic enthusiasts will again be in with a chance ?
My GT4 is just a bit modified ... so I'm building my own RS just in-case ...
It started like this ...
And now it looks a bit like this ...
And the front tyres now wear like this ....

winter will put a stop to that the 981 Spyder has more cars for sale than ever atm and I cannot see any selling on the OPC site, prices have had a correction a bit lower in Sept I noticed before none bar the high miles car were below £85k now 6 cars are sub £85kIt's a £75k car imo not an £85k one. some OPC will have to sell at the price they paid for them at this rate.
I find it odd the price jump at the start of the summer as these were trading at £76k when new and still a tuff sell, it's clear the price jump was not realistic.
GT4 are still changing hands at a good rate on this downward trend of prices.

Yes but I suppose clever money buys in Dec and not in March! It's a £75k car imo not an £85k one. some OPC will have to sell at the price they paid for them at this rate.
