Where do you draw the line there though - the same could be said of speccing a car yellow. But some people want a yellow car.
Personally lack of PCM wouldn’t put me off (hence why I didn’t spec it myself), and I’d prefer more other options. But that’s just me....
I would want heated seats over PCM, for example!
I think you need both, plus leather plus carbon and while I agree you should spec the car for yourself if you intend to keep the car for just 2 or 3 years which applies to most of us I think you should take into consideration resale. When we decide to change a quick sale if you go SOR or a better trade in will pay dividends for the few extra quid spent when purchasing. Would agree IF you are speccing your car to keep for a long time.
But many sell within a short time frame and wonder why they receive a raping price wise and the car struggles to sell.
Imo it is always worth speccing your cars to suit yourself BUT also bearing in mind what the general market wants so if you do need to sell in the short term e.g if circumstances change you are not held to ransom.
It really is that simple.

Agreed - Well said But many sell within a short time frame and wonder why they receive a raping price wise and the car struggles to sell.

Yes did a bit more digging and seen it doesn't have heated seats, I generally wouldn't buy a cab without heated seats but even this weekend I didn't have them on so maybe I don't need them?
Never used the NAV in my GTS, so for me its not a problem, as I'd be buying for myself. However I don't want to take a raping or be stuck with a car should I need to shift it so want to buy at the right price.
Miles wise it does seem a bit more than others but 5K miles in 2.5 years, I wouldn't say thats high? I've done that in my GTS.
Anyone know what list price would have been for this car?

Absence of Nav looks to be a killer, even though it's second-rate compared to other manufacturers?
In any other car I would kind off agree but in a Spyder I felt not worth specking it and the Porsche system is poor as you say most people I know use an app off their phone .It was what I wanted as many have said you do not spec for the next owner ,the price reflects it and price is negotiable as in all sales certainly the cheapest in country .miles /year wise and one of only 12 or so in red I believe .BrotherMouzone said:

Never understand these days why it’s even seen as an issue. Most in car systems lack behind 3rd party devices at a fraction of the cost and even worse, most free nav apps perform better... and totally free.Didn’t bother in the 987 Spyder. Knew I’d have it for a while and any nav would be so dated if it comes to selling time anyway.
Unless already optioned or comes as standard as new, I wouldn’t even be bothered at car purchase about built in nav.
