Sorry can't help about the Perth car but it does look good nice to see a car such as a Spyder in a bright colour for a change.

Does anyone know anything about the yellow Spyder in Perth (apart from it being about the most expensive for sale at an OPC)?

What do you want to know about the car ? I have seen it in the flesh have had it a while now.I can get more info if you want to ask specific things.

Does look good in red, think the GT4 looks better in yellow than the Spyder personally. No idea why but that’s what I think!

Glad you are enjoying it ….no regrets in selling it still got the 987 Spyder for special days and the new to me Boxster 986 for putting on the miles and not bothering to much as to where I park it .I have a slot for the new one if I go down that route again but in PDK this time .If I do it will be RED again best colour IMO

I see lots of people having had a 987 Spyder and a 981 Spyder but sold the 981 keeping the 987?

Is the 987 the sweeter car despite the price gap?

Thanks - was wondering if anyone on here used to own it or had any insight into its history / usage.
I've had a Cayman 981 GTS which I foolishly sold so I'm looking for something for the nice days, and potentially to take across to mainland Europe over the summer.
I guess the other thing is the colour... with an eye to the future, what's the consensus on it being less attractive come trade in time?
As you've seen it in the metal, was there anything of note either positive or negative?

Thanks!

Suspect Woody will have more info on the car than myself, but I can remember Perth OPC having the car at the 50th Anniversary bash at Knockhill (14th July looking back at my photos).

Personally I love the colour however like everything it is all personal choice and maybe a bolder colour could put people off. However life is too short so if you like the colour then go for it smile

As you say different cars 987 is like a pair of slippers the 981 a pair off shoes .You feel more connected in the 987 steering is different less theatre and rides better with Michelin tyres I am not a fast driver but feel I could drive more spirited than in the 981 .
