After a lot of sole searching, thinking and prevaricating I finally came to the realisation that, after a change of jobs, the sensible thing to do was to sell my Spyder
So here is the last photo of it in my ownership (Or though technically it belonged to Porsche Leicester when I actually took this photo)
If you after a Spyder look out for this one in the next couple of weeks. Thanks to Porsche Leicester for making the process fair and easy.
Beautiful car... I saw this earlier and my first thought was “I’m having that...”So here is the last photo of it in my ownership (Or though technically it belonged to Porsche Leicester when I actually took this photo)

Called Leicester, apparently it sold on Sat afternoon 😬
The search continues...

Have decided to sell my blue 981 spyder, just added to pistonheads classifieds, am taking a gamble and am going to go for a mclaren 650s hoping the depreciation slows down a bit, but in my eyes the 650s has got too cheap to resist!
I know I will miss the manual box and the great noise above 4000rpm...lets hope i don't regret it!

Finally collected my Spyder from OPC this pm after 7 weeks (long story....!) which should have been 3 days for some warranty work, MOT, 111 point check & warranty extension.
Driving it back to work only reaffirmed all what is great with the Spyder especially when compared with the courtesy cars I've had over the last 7 weeks (718 Boxster, 718 Boxster S and 718 Cayman). Love the Spyder and now can't wait to get some miles done with the roof down.

Been out in mine with roof down all day... epic cars and what a soundtrackDriving it back to work only reaffirmed all what is great with the Spyder especially when compared with the courtesy cars I've had over the last 7 weeks (718 Boxster, 718 Boxster S and 718 Cayman). I have just reduced it for a no nonsense sale (I am likely to be going for a Huracan Performante) but obviously the Lamborghini dealers will not retail it, just pass it on to Porsche so the car will end up in a Porsche main dealer or Specialist at a much higher price than I am currently asking.
Get in touch via phone if you wish to talk further if your 981 sells at the weekend.

Love the fact that you’ve changed from a 650 S to an Aventador and have now settled on a Huracan! Hope you get the deal across the line and enjoy the car.Get in touch via phone if you wish to talk further if your 981 sells at the weekend.

The 981 Spyder is a fantastic car, I’ve recently picked up a Huracan Performante to go with it and it’s epic. You won’t regret the Performante.Get in touch via phone if you wish to talk further if your 981 sells at the weekend.
There is a small chance I can keep both, all depends on finance deals being sorted early next week, test drove, 650 spyder, 570 spyder, aventador roadster (car was in limp mode so couldn't make a judgement) - and performante coupe, trying to get a finance deal done on a performante spyder at the moment... if that gets accepted the 981 spyder will have to go.
The performante is just so much more exciting than the other cars I have driven, I feel it is worth the extra in purchase cost than the Mclarens.
Aventador discounted due to the size and width, will revisit this option in a few years but would have to be a SV varient.
If finance not an option then will end up in a 650 spyder or Gallardo LP570.
All good cars to be fair, just very dissapointed with the lack of noise with the Mclarens (even with the MSO exhaust).

I have a 981 Spyder alongside a 458 amd 991.2GT3 and you'd expect it to be the poor cousin in such company..Not a bit IMO as its probably out of the three the one i'm most likely to keep longterm..Its so right straight out of the box which is a rare thing and the power is plenty for road use especially taking into account the light 1315KG kerb weight.
I was hoping for a second batch 991.2GT3 RS but with WP and the watch? it'll be over £195K..At that money i'd much rather a Performante and have been looking for one recently..The Rs is great value at £150-160K but not £190K + IMO.

That’s reassuring as I’m forever eyeing up a 458, but the old 360 it’d replace is reasonably analogue compared to modern stuff and doesn’t seem to want to leave me just yet!I was hoping for a second batch 991.2GT3 RS but with WP and the watch? it'll be over £195K..At that money i'd much rather a Performante and have been looking for one recently..The Rs is great value at £150-160K but not £190K + IMO.

Taffy, you know how I hate to agree with you 😜 but in this case you are spot on, I took my own name out the hat for a 3RS and went for a Performante and do not regret it at all.I was hoping for a second batch 991.2GT3 RS but with WP and the watch? it'll be over £195K..At that money i'd much rather a Performante and have been looking for one recently..The Rs is great value at £150-160K but not £190K + IMO.
I am considering replacing the 981 Spyder with a either a 718 Spyder or a 458 Spider.

Crikey it seems we think alike after all despite our childish spat on the other thread.I love my 981 Spyder and 458 equally and honestly i've been seriously considering phoning my OPC on Monday to inform them i no longer want the RS.I am considering replacing the 981 Spyder with a either a 718 Spyder or a 458 Spider.
I have a 992 coming which i'm looking forward to and to be blunt if an RS WP plus watch plus poor p/x will be £XXXXX i won't be able to afford it anyway..I'd have to sell either or both my Spyder and 458 to buy it.
It looks like in a month's time i'll have a 992,Spyder and 458 which will be plenty enough for me..
