I'm perfectly capable of "barbed" whit - but it's not my preferred method of discourse.

If asked to choose between barbed wit and cack-handed patronisation... smile

I think if you actually read the thread you'll find it's not the old boy getting confused, but the young one having difficulty in understanding whole sentences.

Afraid it is. You persistently misread what is written. If you took time to read what is written before you made an inappropriate reply you would avoid getting abusive to others when it was your misreading (as in this case) that was at fault. (You often reply so quickly you couldn't possibly have had time to have read and understood what is written).

Given that I've spent much of my life writing requirement specifications on large contracts - it's my job to know exactly the implications of what I write. I suggest you take a course in slow reading, your fast reading isn't working.

You once accused me of owning a BMW Z4 and tried to argue against my comments based on this...when I pointed out I'd never owned a Z4, you realised it was somebody else on here with a 'similar' name.

I assume/hope you have retired now?

Perhaps you could at least retire from this thread? Excuse my sarcastic whit...wit...whatever! :-)

At least when I realised that I had made an honest mistake, I acknowledged it. I wish everyone would do the same. And those that have nothing of technical interest to contribute to a thread would .......

Not a problem, sir. I shall bow out gracefully so that you can educate us all with your amazing technical insight as you have done throughout most of this thread.....cough.
