I have been looking around for car insurance too. My car is garaged away from home but no tracker as I don’t have power at the lockup
Classic line wouldn’t insure it without a gt4
Locktons were £1k
Aviva premium £850
Admiral £650
Not too sure admiral would be great if I needed to claim but other quotes aren’t too bad I thought

So it's exactly 30 days from where my current policy expires.
Ran quotes on GoCompare, MoneySupermarket, CompareTheMarket and Confused and the quotes I'm getting are absurd. MoneySupermarekt came in the cheapest at £1,677 .57 with Aviva. All others came in at over £5,000+ from insurance companies I've never heard of.
Ran a quote with Admiral and it's coming in at £1144.81 which is higher that what I paid in 2023 (£850), but it's palatable.
Strange that none of the comparison sites showed quotes from the likes of; Admiral, LV, Direct Line, etc.

Just thought I’d chip in even though I don’t have a GT4. My insurance for my 2023 992 GTS and golf R estate is up for renewal next week and as I’d read some horror stories about some massive premium rises I ran a few quotes through the usual comparison sites and also contacted Locktons, NFU and A-plan (I think they’ve changed their name), long story short, cheapest quote for my 992 was with Locktons at around £1500 but with a lot of restrictions (tracker, no other drivers under 35 and garaged at home address between 10pm and 6 am)
My renewal with Admiral came through at just under £1200 (Up £80 from last year) for both and they have also knocked £75 off for adding my home building cover or the policy ( This was also significantly cheaper, like for like than the renewal quote that I received from my current insurer)
Now I know some people will argue that you will not get as good / comprehensive cover with Admiral but I’ve gone over it with a fine tooth comb and in my eyes the cover I have is on a par with that offered by Locktons et all - Admiral also agreed to cover me for partaking in Dream rides with the sporting bears charity.
In a nutshell I’d say some of these companies are taking the proverbial - in my opinion.

My renewal on my multicar gone up £315 + some change over last year with admiral. (It's not cheap in the first place!)
2022 718 GT4 and 2015 Golf R
My insurance policy choices are limited though due to being under 25, I've tried companies such as classic line, lockton's etc. but flat out wont insure me due to my age!

Last May my 981GT4 insurance was £246 with 'Quote me happy' via confused.com. And indeed I was very happy with that - 2yrs NCD (but mirrored max on main vehicle I presume), 3k miles, SDP & Commuting, garaged. (Mature) 58yrs clean licence. No other stipulations.
I've now sold it but the change mid year to the 718 Boxster was no cost difference but it'll be interesting when I renew

What companies are there out there that include trackdays with insurance?
So far, I’ve got quotes from Reis, Classic line, Henderson Taylor, Locktons and Aplan/Howden
Any others before I pick the best so far ???

At face value, Locktons but then you are limited to PCGB days only. Classic line then the best but don’t include European tracks (can add but costs per day). Henderson Taylor more but European included.
From my quotes at least!
Thanks. Locktons said they will insure other track days, for a £150 fee. I’m still waiting my Classic line quote. Will try Henderson Taylor, was with them years ago 👍From my quotes at least!
My 981 GT4 went up substantially last October to £714. Was about £450 for a couple of years before that. Direct Line.
When I first got the car in 2018 no-one wanted to touch it without a tracker, or £1000+ premium. NFU were the only one up for it at a reasonable price, think it was about £650 for the first 3 years, and then they doubled the premium and wouldn't come down in price. Was surprised by Direct Line, as they weren't interested when I bought the car, and I had 3 others insured with them. But they jumped straight in at £466.67 in 2021, and then came down to £443.47 in 2022. So while it went up, I felt like I owed them if I'm honest.
December renewal on my still nearly new Cayman GTS 4.0 was £875, so it does seem like premiums were still moving north. Direct Line.
When I look at the premiums and depreciation friends and colleagues put up with on Range Rovers and Land Rovers, and that's assuming they can even insure them at all... seems like first world problems for Porsche owners.

Classicline are/where cheaper than that for UK days but more for European days. I understand the underwriter Classicline use for most track inclusive policies changed the offer for new business post September ‘23.Renewal quote has just popped on my Admiral MultiCar app…
I have to say, it came in much better than expected.
981 GT4 - £393
Audi TTS - £337
Evoque - £672!!!
I’ll be looking to squeeze more out of them, especially for her truck.
I was expecting the Porsche to start with a 6 so it’s already pretty good. What have others been quoted recently?
