Chris, keep the wheels white.

Mine were black and always wished they were silver.

Do miss my car!

981 Spyder and arguably my favourite car of all i've ever owned..It shares a garage with a 991.2GT3 and 458 Italia and the most likely i'll keep very long term..I might swap it for a 718 Spyder but only if the spec and price are right, otherwise i won't bother.
I also much prefer it to my old GT4 for fun road use and i still don't really know why A future classic in the making IMO..
I have heard this many times i.e. Spyder v GT4 which I know upsets many of the GT brigade but £ for £ was there ever a better buy than a new 981 Spyder
even with my PTS and Exclusive options like full leather buckets I can't think of a single other car that can deliver this much fun or sound as thrilling for many many more £1000's

I am not sure that I would swap out for the 718 especially if I couldn't personalise it to the same degree as my current one 1st MOT tomorrow beer

Good day out in the sunshine on Sunday , on the Porsche GB Cotswold Rally.
Good turn out , lots of stunning cars.
Here is a gratuitous shot of my recently purchased Spyder.
Absolutely loving it , especially the engine!!

Finally picked it up today . Drive back from OPC a bit unnerving with wind noise and rattles ..... Got home and got the roof off , fantastic ! 1st impressions are great . Short shift box excellent , steering spot on , power and noise is enough for B road fun .

This is now my car, I'm thinking of selling if anyone is interested.
Lightweight spec of manual gearbox, short shift, carbon bucket seats, spyder alloys, pse and no air-con.
Its now done 17000 miles and just been serviced at Porsche Nottingham. OPC warranty runs until end of the month but Porsche Notts couldn't find anything wrong to claim on it!
Just had an MOT, the car has never even had a single advisory.

I’ve ended up back in a 2nd 981 Spyder since the 987 ... via a GT3 and a M2 .

I’d have it back if I had garage space

Don’t recall this... The ‘981 Bergspyder’.

Just popped up on their Facebook page.

Lightweight Porsche project.

Don't know the car but good spec, carbon buckets and the only Spyder available in the OPC network right now. Priced well I think, the only one cheaper round right now is a 21k mile example in Red.

Comfort of 2 year warranty from OPC could be worth the extra

Very rare in the OPC network presently not sure on the red interior ! But as the classic package with silver may work. Waiting for a 718 Spyder allocation before selling the Spyder I have

I was tempted by a GT silver with classic Spyder red interior last December but after viewing the car I just couldn't live with the interior - its a proper marmite trim and I was in the 'not for me' camp.

More than happy with my 981 Spyder in white with black interior, 918 buckets, alcantara, extended leather etc etc.

Amazed at how few are currently for sale - don't remember there ever being so few for sale! Bet a decent spec car would soon sell if advertised now the sun is shining.

Not surprising only a few for sale after the recent fantastic weather.

First UK 718 Spyders to be delivered 3rd quarter GT4s fourth quarter.

Expect quite a price hike over the 981.

And that's the concern how residuals will be affected by a new model coming to market.

Interesting if true. Any news on a release date? Simultaneously with the GT4 online (soon?) and in the flesh at Goodwood?

When do you expect the launch, rumour has it that the GT4 and Spyder will be shown at Goodwood FOS ?
Any real knowledge ?
