Surely this all depends upon the servicing and TLC .... Otherwise nobody will ever buy mine smile

I have:

Non standard brakes (better), non standard suspension (better), non standard dampers (better), non standard exhaust or cats (better), non standard induction (better), non standard induction (better), ... oil changes every 3000 miles, and brake fluid changes every 12 months ...

This is a lot cheaper and much more fun than being a slow racer ... but I can promise you, my car has not been shagged.

Agreed. Most often a tracked car is a well maintained car. I’d buy Chris’s car, if only it wasn’t yellow. driving

They say it’s the fastest colour and you seem to have proved that!

PS I’d be very interested in hearing more about and discussing your engine mods, assuming I don’t get a 718.

Thanks for the info. Useful to know. I would only be interested in that car at a lower level (because of the miles). Not worried about the engine etc as it would have the two year warranty and i would have traded it by then.

I am actively looking for another GT4 or Spyder... or Carrera T...
black, silver, grey, blue (in that order) out of preference.

If anyone is thinking of selling and wants to deal direct, please let me know. Only considering cars with the 918 bucket seats.

Cheers

your brakes run cooler and you swap pads more often than most.

it's well know Brembo calipers taper pads which then due to heat add pressure at an angle on the pucks and crack them.
hence why the USA track hackers swap pads over to even the taper though use.

Any track hack car for me personally would have to have a brake inspection pads out before I bought it.
As 4 new calipers adds quit a cost on a new car you just bought 2nd hand.

If I can get the day off at Donny I am very much looking forward to seeing your new upgrades, it now sounds a mega machine.

will you shock me with a set of BBS Fr-R on the car for Donny ;-) ?

Agree Jack Wood has always looked after his cars well , which is more important than a bit of track time , where possibly the only issue is the amount of kerb consistently used ..
ChrisW sounds amazing now see you at Donnington .....

Why is that Red GT4 at Cars of Somerset not selling? Looks good value.

Yep wrong seats.

No climate and no chrono.

£67k max for a comfort with that mileage.

Sorry to disappoint you on the wheels David ... the racers are using 19" wheels and Motec make some very nice and cheap lightweight wheels ... but, I don't think the ceramics will fit inside them ...??

So I'm hoping that somebody will have a used set for sale ?

My own are worth around £2500 but £5k to change is half the cost of the last set of mods.

One step at a time !

The other reason for Donny is to find out how loud the exhaust really is ... without being thrown off !

Donington is where I really discover what the real gain is ... it's not just in the maxima, it's in dialling out the hole in the torque curve ... I'm very happy to share this info ...

Sadly I cant make Donny due to work commitments, but hopefully another time. Be keen to hear how the car goes though.

LOL, how can a certain type of seat be wrong? Wrong for one person is not necessarily wrong for somebody else.

Someone asked why the car wasn't selling and quite clearly the seats are the main reason as MOST GT4 buyers demand buckets.

There a few people who would buy a car without buckets that's why it's hanging arund

I would say £50K at tops. If you zoom in on the pics, the interior looks scuffed up. 50K on a good day. So many for sale at present and none of them are changing hands. I foresee the prices of GT4's plummeting and the 718GTS, for when the new 718GT4 and refreshed 718GTS come out.

Definitely. Plenty are moving, just not comfort spec, overpriced or badly specced versions.

Good thing they are not stocks or shares or investments in a hedge fund, then.
All the better for driving.
