I would say £50K at tops. If you zoom in on the pics, the interior looks scuffed up. 50K on a good day. So many for sale at present and none of them are changing hands. I foresee the prices of GT4's plummeting and the 718GTS, for when the new 718GT4 and refreshed 718GTS come out.

So what makes the perfect spec usable gt4 then?
Clubsport
Folding buckets
Extended leather
Sports chrono
Heated seats
Bose
Dual climate control
Depends if you mean buying used or speccing new.Clubsport
Folding buckets
Extended leather
Sports chrono
Heated seats
Bose
Dual climate control
Clubsport was an expensive option new at c £3500 for half cage. Should really have been free as per the GT3. 981 cages are creaky and alot noisier than GT3s so I would not spec for these reasons.
Folding buckets with optional heaters now look dated and are a useless feature on the GT4 but essentially are a good seat depending on your build and height although there is no height adjustment unlike the newer and better looking more vertical Spyder buckets.
Extended leather is a no brainer must.
Sport chrono another relatively expensive option for what you get but good for resale as is climate although the 'manuel' aircon works well.
Bose is waste of time and money in a GT4.
PCM essential for resale.
Interior carbon pack always sells well and looks good imo.

Yep wrong seats.
.
LOL, how can a certain type of seat be wrong? Wrong for one person is not necessarily wrong for somebody else. .

One or two posters will make out certain spec cars are not desirable as they may own a different spec and talk there’s up.
it pretty clear to see 90% 2nd hand sales demand buckets in GT car been the case for 15 years.look at 996 and 997 GT cars atm all the bucket seated cars have just about sold, we have 16 or so comforts leftover.
the 6 cayman R for sale all don't have the big 3 wants and some been for sale ages
the Sypder are the same there are 4 on the OPC net work 2 comforts and 2 with 2 tone, good luck with them.
we have people on the forum posting wanted adds about R and Spyder atm in the right specs.
Spec is key to all thess sorts of cars, people will forgo a few smaller items but if some of the big ones are missing cars stick.
Bit like GTS cars without the GTS pack, for me it's a must have on a GTS when I looked, mine was the only car with the GTS pack and 3 people were in line to buy it, the cars still for sale are all GTS without GTS pack !
I think what we have seen is newcomers to GT cars buying comforts and being able to give them back to dealers and of course there is 10% people who will buy comforts, we have a rich lot of retired people in the UK who cannot get into buckets ;-)
Is what it is, and has always been the same.
some new people on cars with overs will buy comforts, 2nd hand sales demand buckets.

My OPC has sold 3 or 4 bucket seated GT4s in the last 2-3 months. The one comfort seat car they have has been sat there the whole time and is still there.
For a GT car buckets are essential IMHO. Everything else is your own spec preference although manual aircon would also be a deal breaker for me. I also couldn't care less about PCM, sound system upgrades or a Sports Chrono clock!

The newer breed of GT cars, 991, GT4 (I’m sure 992 will be the same) are more more cable as a road car and they are more expensive than previous models which attracts a different type of buyer.
For sure buckets are key for many, but don't think GT cars with the more versatile 18way seats don’t sell, then do and many of those buyers wouldn’t buy their GT product any other way.

Not saying they don't sell.Merely that they are a much harder sell and at a substantially lower price. Simply because MOST buyers of GT cars understandably demand buckets and that's what the market is.
Ask any OPC buyer.

I priced my 981 Spyder as the cheapest, there are also 981 at £65k now.some times even these low priced cars do not sell due to spec and NEED to be EVEN LOWER.
but yes a car will always sell at the right price, it seems people want more than their cars are worth sans buckets.
what the real world difference is who knows, but there are a lot of comfort cars for sale at the lower end of the price scale stuck !
I think even £10k less is not cheap enough to sell them. there is a rut of 996,997.1 and.2 comforts for sale.
what would a 997.2 comfort GT3 need to be to act sell ? £85k or even less.
I have watched the market nearly daily since last October with notifications set up for when a car is put up for sale and noting when its sold. These cars are certainly selling but have to be the right spec/price or it will sit around for 4/5 months. The two i noticed which havent sold for months in particular were red comfort spec cars. I personally love the red on a GT4 but for resale they dont seem to do too well. I was waiting for a clubsport car to come up with the right extras at the right price and bought one within two days of it being advertised the other week. After taking delivery I can confirm these cars are amazing and i now know why everybody raves about them so much. They're worth every single penny and I cant wait to get it on track to see its true potential!
