Interesting to note UK production numbers for the 981 and 718 GT4 manual is almost identical at 549 and 559 respectively but there are an additional 485 718 PDKs.

Numbers up to quarter 4 2023 according to How Many Left.

That's interesting the way some folks talk you would think there are lots more 718 GT4 vs 981GT4
Would think that is about the final count as well

There’s nearly twice as many 718 gt4 (1000 plus) cars in the Uk over 981 GT4.

People can try and spin it which every way they want but porsche didn’t hold back producing the 718 GT4, go knows how many there are worldwide.

How long was the 981 GT4 produced vs 718 GT4 is my point
Manuals are 1v1 so it’s just like having 500 PDK’s. Doesn’t seem that many vs length of production and more importantly they won’t ever make any more which is the key point

981 mid 2015 to 2016.

718 late 2019 to late 2023.

The pandemic had an obvious impact on 718 production along with many other models..

I'm refinancing the balloon on my 718 in the coming 60days, so I thought some people (owners and potential buyers) on here might be interested to know where Porsche see GT4 residuals in the coming years.

Car was bought brand new - PDK, registered July 2022, list of £92.5k (Aug 2021 price which I had locked in at point of order in teh summer of '21). 2yr final balloon underwritten at the time was £66.3k.

Balloons underwritten on the car as of today are:
July 2026 - £58.2k
July 2027 - £53.9k
July 2028 - £51.4k

Trade-in values on the car are c£75-77k, so a nice bit of equity still left in the car v the balloon. I ummmed and ahhhed over a 4RS allocation, but financially it made no sense to me v what I use the car for, so I turned the allocation down. Coupled with my OPC actively telling me not to sell the car because in his opinion it's the sweet spot, a good balance of special v road v track, and in his opinion there's nothing coming down the pipeline to match it, or currently in the Porsche 'newish' used market stable at similar value price points. He said I would massively regret changing.

Anyway, given those nice steady depreciation points above, the Python will be staying for at least a couple more years, and it'll be having a couple of treats added to it soon once I've got over the shock of paying £1000 for it's first service. smile

That’s Interesting - I bought my MY23 GT4 fully loaded for £108k and GFV balloon after 4 years is £58k which I think will be lower than the actual value. Time will tell
Please, I am not trying to pick issues here. Is refinancing balloon payment not equates to paying interest twice on a single amount of money. If I understand correctly, the original interest paid included the balloon payment?

Yes, you are correct, but nothing in life is free, is it. smile

BTW, I've just got back from a weekend in North Wales, where I took the opportunity to take the 4 for a blast through the mountains en route across A and B roads. Amazing fun. In the bright sunshine (going there) or torrential rain (coming home), the GT4 delivered smiles & smiles in every way possible...

Black wheels on a white car usually look very good. Pictures do not usually do black wheels justice but in real life, they look stealth and racy

It's become trendy recently on the internet to be vocally against black wheels. I bet many of these won't say the same thing if they bumped into the owners at a car show/meet
