Laggards still for sale since last Autumn include the grossly overpriced black Hull car with mags and BMs red 3.8k miles car (Pendragon Wilmslow ex Stockport) the latter of which started at £180k last year and is now offered at £148k and remarkably still £8k over list. Am sure it will give BM continued amusement lol.
Bloody right it does rofl

Bit of a shame really as it’s a nice car in good nick. Probably seized up by now!
biggrin:

Well it certainly went well enough when I drove it last year! A few marks on the bonnet consistent with the mileage but otherwise mint and you specced it nicely too.

Seems strange why it hasn't sold recently there appears to have only been 1 other OPC Guards 4 RS....at Edinburgh which sold in December. Imo Guards along with Shark is one of the best colours for the 4RS....rarest colours too.

Reckon they have made the classic mistake of chasing the market down with their delayed price reductions.
The Edinburgh car was a cheap car at the time ... at list. If I could have paid before Christmas I would have bought it ... instead I bought a 5/18 991.2 GT3RS at the same price, one owner and 7500 miles with 30 months OPC warranty ... pre-particulate filter, steel brakes, new tyres and freshly serviced ... on the last trading day of last year and collected mid Jan '24.
Imo the 23 Edinburgh car was decent value and accurately represented its age 5.5k mileage and £155k list price at the time.

No doubt the 991.2 is the sweetspot and the pre partic 3RS will certainly remain very desirable I certainly miss my 2018 991.2 GT3 CS manual which I enjoyed immensely and ran from new for 5 years. Interestingly I sold it to a fellow PHer for £143500 last May (ceramics good spec 8k miles) so it looks like you made a shrewd purchase with your RS.

I think this is possibly a sticking point now, I've been sniffing around various GT4RS's over the last 3-6 months, but with the crazy overs I started to look at what else is available and as you say you could have a 991.2 GT3RS for similar cash now.
Understood. But. a 4RS will not be replicated again..

Very true... which is why I am still looking at the 4RS ;-)

Cant deny a 911 GT3RS is a great car, but genuinely think when Porsche discontinue the 4RS (Which is not long away) the cars will then be hoovered up and a fair few put away

I've been away for a couple of days, but had been meaning to post that the white GT4 RS that OPC Guildford had dropped considerably a few days ago. Just checked, and it seems it has gone. Might even have been a little less than list - would have been quite tempted, but for one very important factor... biggrin

(Spec freeze day today!)

The Ashgood car has been on/off for around 6 months now, as said it's the ex-Porsche GB press car. I'd imagine it to be mechanically perfect but it's had a hard life.

I was offered a brand new car in build from an OPC a week ago out of nowhere, with an expected June/July delivery at list price. Spec was locked and I pondered for a while and ultimately missed out while thinking too long and hard about it, needless to say in hindsight I'm gutted.

I got wind of a new one at Cardiff, however it wasn't advertised on their site, but they had listed it on their socials. Once I'd found it I contacted them but it had sold the day before.

It feels like we're close to seeing these cars reducing back to list/near list price now and it's a case of waiting and finding the right one. Clearly OPC's don't want to take the financial hit but a lot are not moving so time will tell.
If that was the GT silver car with gold mags it was sat in their new showroom in Newport this morning - it was ~ £165k

I’m sure that was originally advertised for £155k

I'm due an allocation towards the end of the year, I've seen production numbers for both cars and they're for sure going to make a lot more than people are expecting.

I'm tempted to go non-WP, quite like the look of it, makes it a bit different and it'll be a keeper for me which will be just a track toy.

I seem to remember at launch they said it was never intended to be a limited edition, and they hoped to make enough that everyone that really wanted one could get one. Seems to be coming true for you and me, @Ki5h. Probably means that they will depreciate a little, but from my perspective, that in turn will make me more cheerful about using my one a little more when it comes.

My OPC have told me they don't know if they are getting any more GT4 RS allocations for build after the summer shutdown, but that might well have been to encourage me to grab the one they hadn't been expecting. They didn't need to, and I think they know that, so maybe they really will be thin on the ground, at least in the UK.

Taking about think on the ground, OK I live in Scotland, but I am out and about a lot driving and have still never seen a 4RS anywhere other than a showroom or at the Porsche experience - a very rare beast indeed in the road!

I’m likely to go GT silver with silver wheels. Enjoy simple things lol, my turbo GT is grey with gold wheels so a nice change.

I’ve heard on the grapevine that Cambridge OPC had a cancelled GT4RS allocation - well I know for a fact they were touting to certain folk a car for July delivery …… it had locked in spec except for exterior colour which could be chosen from the standard selection. Could be worth a phone call but I assume you’ll get the usual nonsense about no allocation unless you are a VIP customer….

Strange that the colour can be changed, but the spec can’t.

If the spec is locked, the colour is locked. Or is it the opc trying to get you to load it up to the hilt.

My guess is it’s not a basic spec

With all that race-tex going on, you not tempted to complete the set with the Sun visors Race-Tex option? I think it would look nice and cohesive up above you.

Yes- agreed…..I thought it was odd that apparently the spec was locked in but they were letting you choose the colour-
