Discussion
Just been watching a vid to get the full lowdown on ACC (and PAS)

Seems fairly useful, and I can understand people speccing it.
I won't though. It's not something I feel comfortable with - I'm too much of a control freak - I don't like the car driving itself based on traffic conditions and the unpredictable movements of other drivers. It also suits PDK better, so the car can change down if traffic slows. I'm speccing manual so that goes out the window.
Also, that front radar looks faintly ridiculous. The 718 S demonstrator I took out for an hour from Chiswick had it and I took an instant dislike to it.
As for just plain old cruise control; I'll spec it at the 220 odd asking price. It's rarely used on the UK's crowded roads but I use it regularly on long trips in France, where you get mile after mile of zero traffic.

Adaptive cruise is fine if you don't drive another car without it.
I saw one 981 S for sale where the owner stopped using the ACC as his wife's Range Rover didn't have it and when driving hers he kept bowling up to cars in front expecting the RR to self stop!
Put me off it somewhat.
Just repeating this. I saw one 981 S for sale where the owner stopped using the ACC as his wife's Range Rover didn't have it and when driving hers he kept bowling up to cars in front expecting the RR to self stop!

Also, my front parking sensors failed on a one-off occasion on my TTS. Didn't hit the wall, but almost. I really don't like relying on "safety features" to keep me safe. Think about the poor guy killed in his Tesla.
