I've got my third service coming up in a few months and been looking about for prices etc.
Where I live, I am pretty much smack bang in the middle of Porsche Silverstone, Hatfield and Cambridge.
Anyone have any positive or negatives comments as to which they have had the best experiences with? Or perhaps another dealer not much further on that would be worth going to?
Had a few dealings with Silverstone buying parts and not been blown away, so their probably 3rd on my list at the moment.

I have heard nothing good about Hatfield - I have had mixed experiences there. One of my friends currently has a car in there - it took 5 weeks to get them to even look at it after some of his engine components decided to have a falling out. They’ve had the car for 11 weeks now. He is not happy and made worse by the £13k bill (which is still growing)

OPC Hatfield so bad it should be shut down in reality as some of their shennagins have left me speechless. Suffice to say the dealer principal and sales manager both fired about 18 months ago.Where I live, I am pretty much smack bang in the middle of Porsche Silverstone, Hatfield and Cambridge.

I've use OPC Silverstone....have only had good experiences.
+1 for Silverstone, the service people are friendly and fantastic, super responsive and communicative, light years ahead of the the other brands I own. The techs there are great and its always nice to be able to talk to the guy that worked on your car and hear from the horses mouth about what's been done.On previous cars I've owned they've done an engine swap (991.1 GT3 chocolate engine) and PDK swap (991.1 GT3RS) and all perfect.

Why not try an indy? Dovehouse in Northants I can really recommend. Some of their service staff have come from OPC Silverstone including their Chief Engineer.
Horses for courses. Routine service/oil change for sure. But problem to be diagnosed or major work, I wouldn't let an indy near it unless an elderly car, they just don't have the up to date techGameofCars said:

I did debate an independent, but i'd like to leave myself the option of extended warranty or for another owner in the future. An my OCD doesn't cope well with breaking the dealer history in the book lolnn7man said:

Yes horses for courses but some of the indy's now have support contracts direct with the factory in Germany and PIWIS. RPM & JZM are the ones I think but there may be another. red997 said:

Never used Hatfield myself but they do seem to get a consistent "review". I've been in the showroom a couple of times but the level of interest in you as a customer is pretty shoddy....christ knows what it's like when you're a mere service customer.

My experience - judge an OPC by the DP - they set the tone and attitude of the whole place, and if they don't, there a bigger issues.HATFIELD: Using last 12 months and don't recognise these comments. Slick, customer first all the way, all the time. Incredible knowledge - only OPC including Porsche HQ in 2 years who identified why there isn't an actual "extended fuel tank" in the GT4 and why gauge behaves the way it does. When there was a "debatable" issue with a bit of plastic, without deliberation, they bought new parts fast. I even turned up once with bird poop on drivers window, and to be fair you could see it from space, the sales (not service person) came out and offered to have it cleaned whilst I visited parts. The DP must create this customer centric mindset for people to feel like they can behave this way. It's small details, but matters to me.

Other way round surely Opc with youth training scheme imbeciles ok for oil changes when the car is a few years old
Anything complex, fault diagnosis or where you want to pay a realistic price and get good service, go to an independent garage that cares about what they do and their reputation
I think people are mad for going to the main dealer
You wouldn’t take a 10 year old golf to vw or maybe you would?
Looking at the service invoices that my cars have accumulated at opcs makes me think that people who use them at all are mad
