Flipping bird sh*t
Discussion
can be a bh. I had just finished cleaning the HC. Went inside to get the vacuum cleaner. Came out less than five minutes. Two bird craps which I wiped off immediately. In the right light with a clean car I can still see them. That was two years ago and many polishes after. I have not tried the TCut route. I don't want to tempt fate and some elephant comes along and dumps on the car
Bird shat on wife's Audi bonnet. A huge splat of poo!
By the time we got home it had etched through the lacquer. Took it to Audi, knowing what the answer would be. It would have to be re-painted. Polishing couldn't replace the dissolved paint/lacquer.
Now we carry Autoglym Bird Poo Wipes in both cars!: https://www.autoglym.com/bird-dropping-wipes

Oh dear, is Porsche's paint so thin/crap that a few hours of guano can spoil it?? I might not buy a 718 if it's going to be so fragile. Are all colours equally affected? May the bird's diet is a factor? (Did the chips have vinegar?!)
My red metallic BMW, which I was going to replace with a red or yellow 718, often gets crapped on by smallish birds. I just use a water mister to soften it and then a soaked kitchen towel to remove. No bird st related blemishes as far as I can see.
